On 28 November - 1 December the Centre for Polish and European Studies co-organized a study trip of the Ukrainian scholars from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv to Poland "European Studies in Poland: lessons for Ukraine". Among the Ukrainian participants were Viktor Konstantynov, Galyna Zelenko, Наталья Яковенко, Kseniya Denisenko, Olena Kovtun, Roman Kryvonos, Sergey Makovskyy, Zakhar Tropin. During their visit in Warsaw they have visited College of Europe in Natolin (Grzegorz Tkaczyk, Kateryna Pryshchepa, Mariusz Marszałkowski), Centrum Europejskie UW (Kamil Zajączkowski, Anna Ogonowska), as well as the Batory Foundation and the Warsaw Office of the European Council on Foreign Relations (Krzyś Mrozek, Jan Jakub Chromiec, Andrzej Mendel-Nykorowycz). They have also taken part in the international conference "European Studies in Poland and in Ukraine" together with their Polish collegues from the University of Warsaw (Kamil Zajączkowski, Kamil Ławniczak, Beata Warda, Marta Witkowska, Rafal Ulatowski). The study trip was organized in cooperation with Wydział Nauk Politycznych i Studiów Międzynarodowych UW, Instytut Stosunków Międzynarodowych Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, Centrum Europejskie UW, Інститут міжнародних відносин КНУ імені Тараса Шевченка thanks to the financial support of STUDY TOURS TO POLAND run by Fundacja Liderzy Przemian and financed by the Polsko-Amerykańska Fundacja Wolności. On 30 November - 2 December the Centre for Polish and European Studies co-organized a study trip of the Ukrainian scholars and experts to Poland "Reform of the security sector in Poland: lessons for Ukraine". Among the Ukrainian participants were Григорій Перепелиця, Ihor Todorov, Юрій Теміров, Kseniya Smyrnova, Volodymyr Dalskyi, Igor Kozii. During their visit in Warsaw they met in particular Polski Instytut Spraw Międzynarodowych - PISM experts (Anna Maria Dyner, Legucka Agnieszka, Wojciech Lorenz, Daniel Szeligowski), the ambassador of Ukraine Andrii Deshchytsia, Janusz Onyszkiewicz, Stanisław Koziej, Beata Warda. They have also visited the Biuro Bezpieczeństwa Narodowego and held a conference at the Uniwersytet Warszawski together with the members of the staff of the Wydział Nauk Politycznych i Studiów Międzynarodowych UW (Instytut Stosunków Międzynarodowych Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego). On April 4-6, 2017, Professor Mirosław Sułek from the Institute of International Relations of the University of Warsaw visited the Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He met Deputy Director Dr. Igor Golubiy and the Director of Foreign Policy Research Institute prof. Grigoriy Perepelytsia. During the stay prof. Sułek gave a lecture "Global and local distribution of power after the Cold War - a powermetric approach" for the 1st year students of master's complementary studies, which received a great interest. The Center for Polish and European Studies was co-organizer of the visit.

On 14 - 17 December 2016 the Centre for Polish and European Studies, the Institute of International Relations of the University of Warsaw and the Polish Society of International Studies organized a study trip of a group of scholars from the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv to Warsaw. The project was financed within the program of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation “Study Tours to Poland”, realized by the Jan Nowak-Jeziorański College of Eastern Europe in Wrocław. During their visit the Ukrainian scholars met with the authorities of the University of Warsaw, the scholars from the Institute of International Relations of the University of Warsaw and the Institute of International Studies of the Warsaw School of Economics, as well as with the experts of the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) and the Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW), and the diplomats from the Ukrainian embassy.
On 16 December the scholars from the University of Warsaw and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv took part in the conference «International relations in Poland: a case study for Ukraine».

On 10th November Інститут Масової Інформації (ІМІ) (Kyiv) and the Centre for Polish and European Studies at the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv organized a meeting on the Polish-Ukrainian cooperation. Introductory remarks were presented by Marcin Rey, editor of the FB profile «Russian 5th Column in Poland» (Rosyjska V kolumna w Polsce), dr Olga Solarz, academic teacher at the East European State Higher School in Przemyśl, Jarosław Przedworski, social activist, organizer of humanitarian aid for the victims of the Russian agression in Eastern Ukraine. More than 30 Ukrainian and Polish journalists, social activists, as well as the representants of the state administration attended the event.

On 26 September the Centre for Polish and European Studies hosted Patrycja Grzebyk from Instytut Stosunków Międzynarodowych Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego who gave a lecture on "Ukrainian-Russian conflict in light of the Law of Armed Conflict - problems with classification of the conflict and qualification of persons".

On 7th November 2016 the Centre for Polish and European Studies at the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv hosted the lecture of the ambasador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine, Mr Jan Pieklo, «Eastern Partnership - what to do next?». Some 120 students, as well as academic stuff took part in that event. The Centre for Polish and European Studies is a common initiative of the Institute of International Relations of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw, the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the Polish Society of International Studies.

The Centre is housed by the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. It is run in cooperation with the Institute of International Relations of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw and the Polish Society of International Studies.
The Centre aims to promote and disseminate information and knowledge about contemporary Poland and Europe, including European values and their models of development. Its activities include implementation of study programmes focused on Poland, Europe, and European values;
organization of seminars, conferences, scientific meetings on topics regarding contemporary Poland and/or its European counterparts.
The Centre is coordinated by Professor Hryhoriy Perepelytsa and Professor Andrzej Szeptycki.
