FOCUS Virtual 2022.
A lot of meetings, a lot of support words, a lot of positive - that vibe is what we really needed after 10 months of The War.
Huge interest to Ukrainian culture, people and film industry appeared these days. And it will come more.

FOCUS - The Meeting Place for International Production, Clara Le, The Location Guide, thank you for giving us this significant chance to show the World that Ukrainian producers are strong-willed, hardy and have a courage to survive in whatever circumstances.
We keep going.

KHERSON, UKRAINE. 🇺🇦 IT IS ALL ABOUT PEOPLE.
Look at these faces. These people deserve the Peace, not the War. They feed humanity.
In June 2019 we were honored to film real Kherson's farmers. People who engaged in the most important profession of mankind at all times.
Together with Corteva Agriscience, Ogilvy NY, Spur productions and a fantastically talented photographer Joey Lawrence we drove 2600km through the villages of Kherson and took pictures of people, fields and farms.
The villages Tavrichanka, Mylove, Chornyanka were our main locations. People there are cordial and friendly, these non-actors were sooooo patient on the set, even when they had to make 30 times something what they never did in their farmer's life, they still joked and smiled. And they all speak russian.

2,5 years later their life were ruined by The War. Kherson region was occupied in February 2022 by russian troops.
2 days ago, on the 11 November 2022 the village Mylove which located on the right bank of Dnipro was de-occupied by Ukrainian army.
Tavrichanka and Chornyanka are on the left bank of Dnipro and still under occupation.
We hope all our heroes, their families and other farmers are survived and the entire Kherson region will soon be de-occupied.

These people deserve the Peace, not the War. They feed humanity.

This is Wally Bunka, Canadian Ukrainian who served in the Winnipeg Rifles during the Second World War and fought in the Netherlands.
We shot this film on the 9th May 2017 in Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery (The Netherlands). It is noteworthy that after returning from the war, Wally never traveled outside of Canada. But he accepted the invitation to participate the project immediately without any doubts and took the first 10h-flight in his life in his 93yo.
On the set Wally behave like a professional actor - it was such a strong and cold wind at that day, but he courageously withstood all 24 takes, which we filmed in one frame.
He has passed away a year ago, in March 2021 in his 97.

In March 2022, a Foreign Legion was created in Ukraine, soldiers from 50 countries began to defend Ukraine. Currently, Canadians are one of the most numerous nationalities represented among fighters. So for Canadians was even formed a separate unit.
Yesterday the Prime Minister of Netherlands Mark Rutte has annonsed that the Netherlands will provide Ukraine with a heavy weapons.
It is not a first time when Canada and The Netherlands are stand with Ukraine.
Three nations - one Freedom!

The requirements listed below are demandable to perform this job successfully:
EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in the relevant field will be preferred. Any filmmaking experience matters and will be appreciated.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS: Upper Intermediate or higher level.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Have a positive attitude and a cheerful, upbeat personality. Be courteous and respectful.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Be computer literate, know how to use a variety of soft (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, KeyNote, etc). Knowledge of any professional soft is welcome.
EDUCATION: Bachelor degree or higer in any field.

💡 Центром «Соціальні індикатори» у співпраці з FIAU - Film Industry Association of Ukraine були опитані: роботодав(и)ці у сфері кіноіндустрії, досвідчені фахів(чині)ці кіногалузі, а також студент(к)и й випускни(ці)ки навчальних закладів Києва, Харкова, Одеси та Львова за спеціальністю 021 «Аудіовізуальне мистецтво та виробництво». Окремо було проаналізовано освітні програми й відкриті джерела навчальних закладів.

💡 На презентації ви дізнаєтеся про стан мистецької кіноосвіти в Україні та перспективи працевлаштування випускників у вітчизняних кінокомпаніях, а також про рекомендації для державних і приватних інституцій у сфері мистецької освіти й кіновиробництва щодо реформ освітніх програм і поглиблення комунікації між навчальними закладами та роботодавцями.
