House with Chimeras is an Art Nouveau brick building located in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev. The house got its name thanks to the sculptural decorations, the themes of which are terrestrial and underwater animal worlds, hunting attributes, fairy tale creatures.
"Richard's Castle - Lionheart" is the poetized name of house number 15 on Andrew's Descent in Kiev, a monument of 19th-century architecture built in the British Gothic style. It was named by Victor Nekrasov in honor of King Richard the Lionheart, the hero of Walter Scott's novel Ivanhoe.

Pechersky monastery was founded in 1051 by monk Antony, a native of Lubech, and his disciple Theodosius under Yaroslav the Wise.
