As part of the project "Support for the restoration and development of the Luhansk State Medical University", which is implemented with the co-financing of the European Union, a number of repair works were carried out in the rooms of the student dormitory No. 1 at the address of st. Simona Smith, 5, Rivne city.

The issue of accommodation for the participants of the educational process is very important, since a significant number of our students and employees are internally displaced persons, therefore the EU project also provided for the repair of part of the living rooms of the dormitory No. 1.

Currently, the repair work in the dormitory has been successfully completed, which included: replacing wooden windows with plastic ones, replacing the entrance door, covering the floor, repairing the plaster of the internal walls, ceiling, puttying and decorating the walls and slopes, replacing the electrical wiring - everything that significantly improved the conditions comfortable accommodation for students and employees.

The implementation of the project is ongoing.

On December 14, the conference of the labor team of the state institution "Luhansk State Medical University" was held. At the meeting, strategic issues of the development of the university, improvement of the quality of the educational process and highlighting of scientific and research work were discussed. 🔬

Special attention is paid to publishing activities. The team actively discussed plans for the publication of new books, magazines and periodicals 📚. This initiative aims to expand the university's scientific influence and active interaction with other higher education institutions.

At today's event, current issues were discussed and the university team continues the relentless development process, which directs us to successfully achieve our goals! 🌟🚀

A meeting of the Academic Council of the State Institution "Luhansk State Medical University" was held, at the beginning of which the certificate of the associate professor of the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, Narcology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology and Oncology was issued to Olena GAVRISH.

Key aspects of the university's development were also discussed, namely:
1️⃣ Information and library support. Acting of the head of the library, Halyna LESHKEVICH, shared plans and innovative approaches to ensure the scientific and educational activities of the university.

2️⃣ Readiness for the winter period. Andrii BURYAK, deputy rector for administrative and economic work, spoke about the preparation of the university's educational facilities and dormitory for the winter season. The priority is to ensure comfortable living, living and learning conditions for those seeking higher education.

3️⃣ The head of the commission for the rating evaluation of scientific and pedagogical workers and departments of the State institution "Luhansk State Medical University", associate professor Oleksandr VOLOSHYN, shared the results of the evaluation of the teaching staff. It is especially gratifying to note that our teachers not only teach successfully, but also constantly work on their professional development. They are actively involved in scientific research, improve teaching methods and share their knowledge with students. This is another confirmed fact that our teachers are always on the way to improvement and development!

4️⃣The results of the inspection of the department of biology, histology, pathomorphology and forensic medicine were presented by the dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, associate professor Oksana OKSENYUK and acting by the head of the department, assistant Oleksandr YANCHEVSKY. 📊

YELLOW RIBBON IN THE STATE INSTITUTION "LUHANSKY STATE
MEDICAL UNIVERSITY"

On November 21, we celebrate the Day of Dignity and Freedom in honor of two revolutions - the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity. On this day, the department of language training and social and humanitarian sciences, together with students of higher education of the State institution "Luhansk State Medical University", joined the flash mob of the "Yellow Ribbon" resistance movement. Everyone tied a yellow ribbon in support and a sign of gratitude to all those who did not break under Russian pressure, in support of the resistance in the occupied territories.
The celebration of this day was held under the slogan "Charged with dignity and thirst for freedom." The winners were given a lecture on the topic "The genes of freedom cannot be destroyed." The conversation "The meaning of democratic values" was held. In the cinema hall, they listened to the greetings of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi on the Day of Dignity and Freedom, and watched the documentary film "Women's Faces of the Revolution".
We preserve the memory in order to pay due respect to the patriotism and courage of citizens who stood up for the defense of democratic values, human rights and the European choice of the Ukrainian people.

✅ On November 16, the scientific and practical conference "All-Ukrainian Medical Society" was held at the Ostroh Academy National University. 📝The students of higher education of the State institution "Luhansk State Medical University" led by the rector, Professor Sergey Smirnov (Sergey Smirnov) also took part in this event. 🎓The organization of the event was at a high level, we are grateful for the opportunity to exchange experience, knowledge and discuss current issues in medicine.

👉🏻On May 2, foreign students of the state institution "Luhansk State Medical University", led by the rector, professor Serhiy Smirnov, met with the mayor of Rivne Oleksandr Tretyak (Olexandr Tretyak)

🗣️The purpose of the meeting is a dialogue with students and answers to their questions. The mayor of the city emphasized that the medical field is one of the most demanding and important, so young specialists need to have a high level of knowledge and skills.

As part of the working visit of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Serhiy Shkarlet, rectors of higher education institutions of the Rivne region met
within the walls of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management.

Students of the "LDMU" Medical School - the bright future of medicine!

Today, November 16, the first large-scale event of the Luhansk State Medical University took place in the city of Rivne. On the eve of the International Student Day, first-year students received greetings and instructions from the rector of the university, professor Serhiy Smirnov and honored guests, in particular, the first deputy head of ROVA - Serhiy Podolin, addressed the students with sincere wishes.

The dedication of the students was accompanied by a traditional oath and receiving a symbolic student ticket - an official document certifying their new status.

The students, together with the city's dance groups, prepared a bright concert program and gladly welcomed the freshmen into the big, friendly family of our university.

On October 19, 2022, the Ostrozki Foundation and Luhansk State Medical University signed a Memorandum of Partnership, which provides for the implementation of a number of joint projects, the implementation of which involves assistance to LDMU, as well as to the residents of the city of Rivne and citizens of the Rivne region.
We are starting the good works that our displaced higher education institution will carry out in the city of Rivne. - states the Rector of the Luhansk State Medical University Professor Serhii Mykolayovych Smirnov.
In turn, the department
of health and civil protection of the population of ROVA, as well as the management of the Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital, will provide a separate premises of the polyclinic so that interns and students under the guidance of university teachers can carry out free ophthalmological examinations of both displaced persons and local citizens.

On October 18, another meeting of the rectorate was held, which was attended by the rector of the Luhansk State Medical University - Serhii Mykolayovych Smirnov, vice-rectors, representatives of the administration, heads of departments, deans of faculties.

Those present discussed a number of important issues, in particular, the accreditation of the "Medicine" educational program, the dynamics of the university's personnel potential, the dynamics of the contingent of education seekers, and the university's clinical bases. Deans and leaders also provided information on the number of students studying at the Luhansk State Medical University.
