But the parvovirosis infection I alerted you about is still rampant so take the necessary precautions including the deworming schedule needed for all your pets especially the young ones. Hi everyone. It's the rainy season again please remember to have all your pets dewormed and vaccinated. Parvovirosis is still on rampage so you have to be sure all puppies are vaccinated and well looked after.
Finally love all your pets like you love yourselves.

Another sad ending! Died before coming to the vet! Case of canine liver cirrhosis, trying to find the cause. Could indomethacin be the cause of this pathological finding in a 9 month old dog? Note nearby is the heart and the lungs with no obvious pathological lesions.

Please stop using the human contraceptive injection DEPOPROVERA in dogs for birth control.

9 year old dog was brought in collapsed and died shortly afterwards. Note the pathological findings.
1. Lungs had white pin point like structures which felt hard and pin like on touch. Note the pale colouration of the lungs.
2. Severe pancreatitis with inflammation fatty tissue infiltration.
3. Haemangioma like tumuor in liver was also observed.
4. Cystic o***y which was bilateral with swellings along the uterus. Note the cystic tissue along the uterus.
Noted was the use of dipoprovera injection for birth control.
5. Urinary bladder was reduced to a small thick ball of tissue with little bladder space left and filled with blood tinged pus.
6. Not shown but found was a great deal of blood tinged pus in the peritoneal cavity approximately 3 liters. This had to be wsshed out with nearly 10 liters of water for the post mortem to continue.
However, the heart had no note worthy pathological findings and so was the spleen.
No haemoparasites where found on thin blood smear however, white blood cell count was extremely low.
What could have been the actual cause of death?

Fat tumour in a small nasty and easily bleeding positon in a dog.

Two days after removal of his globe he is alive and kicking, eating well despite removal of his left canine tooth. He is ready to go home after this ordeal! !!!

Another vicious nearly fatal attack on a small dog!!

We still find cases of both canine and feline pyometra! !!!!! Commonly caused by use of human depo provera injections as birth control method in these animals!!!!
Surgery is both complex and very expensive. Discuss the isdue of birth control in your pets with your vet before taking any steps. All risks for all methods should be clearly spelt out to you so that you hsve a fair choice.

Please do not let this happen to your pet. This lovely little puppy is battling with a severe infection of parvovirosis!
We are also fighting hard to keep him alive.
He has boody diarrhoea, he vomits everything he is fed and he is so unhappy!!!!!
There are several others in our custody suffering just like him!!!!
Make sure that all pregnant birches are vaccinated mid term.
Make sure all puppies are vaccinated against parvovirosis at least two times before they are twelve weeks old.

Small intestinal tumour causing total obstruction! Rx is by surgical removal.

Aural haematoma. Drain and suture. Give post op. Rx as required!

Splenic haemangioma? Splenectomy done successfully.

Canine aural heamatoma. Causes swelling of the pinna and pain to touch. Drainage and surgical repair. Healing is usually uneventful BUT if your dogs ears were standing like in GSD this will not happen after healing.

E.canis inclusion bodies in the white blood cell as seen by simple light microscopy. This is a very serious infection in dogs and your veterinarian has to treat your dog radically. The good news is that its treatable and preventable with eradication of ticks.

1. Look out for tumours in dogs and cats on any part of the body and visit your veterinarian to decide the best options available to get rid of it. 2. Prep just before surgery. 3. Just after removal luckly it was intra- dermal. 4. Successfully completed. 5 Culprit just after removal ready for dispatch to pathology if owner of patient accepts.

Do not wait for this stage visit your veterinarian early when signs of swollen abdomen and a discharge from the v***a appear. 2. Shows the Uterus after ovario-hysterectomy full of pus offending organism was not cultured/ micriobiologically checked. 3. After successful surgery. Queen pulled thru well and is happily doing well with owner at home. Narrow survival!! Avoid use of human contraceptive injections and pills in animals they lead to this situation.

This was an operation (termination of pregnancy) requested by this cat's owner. Such an operation can be complicated due to the pregnancy status. This can be avoided by timely decissions and discussion with your vet. Do not wait to see your animal mating or bulging with pregnancy to decide not o have the products! Spaying is cheaper and less complicated than pregnancy termination although both are permanent contraceptive measures in our pets. Make a decision to do it at the right time this year. Thanx to all.

Haemorrhagic enteritis is majorly characterised by diarrhea with love including other signs of enteritis like vomiting and abdominal pain.
