Our Story
About us
Youth Aid Africa - YAA is a registered Non-Governmental Organization that was started by young people following the challenges they were experiencing at the time. With realization of unemployment levels, corruption and problematic lifestyle of Ugandans, YAA desired to reach more people in Uganda by incorporating a Company Limited by Guarantee under the Laws of Uganda; (The Companies Act. 2012) on 29th September 2016 with registration number 229349. The organization cuts its niche in addressing the physical, economic social and psychological issues affecting people in communities, Social rights, obligations and the leadership responsibility, accountability, respect for citizen’s rights, standards in service delivery.
Our programs cover, the enhancement of citizenry participation in the Government of their districts, capacity building on development programs, rehabilitation and reintegration of refugees and refugee host communities.
