When you invest your life in uplifting others and spreading love, there will be seasons of betrayal and discouragement. In view of that, it's deeply rejuvenating when true friends celebrate you and tell you how much you've changed their lives. That's what the Archer's did for each other on the last evening. On the Love Wall, each one received sticky notes from their colleagues acknowledging the positive impact they're having. It was like a cup of cold water on a thirsty throat!

In allowing our imagination to roam into the future and craft a picture of a desired end, we unleash hitherto dormant energy from our innermost selves. We unleash the passion to pursue that dream and the energy to overcome any obstacle on the way! For that reason we asked each of the Archers to introduce themselves according to where they see themselves 20 years from now. Their dreams are amazing and inspiring; more importantly, they're committed to put in the effort and sacrifice to realize them.

When great minds find a meeting place, they sharpen and reshape each other! The thought provoking deliberations at the retreat expanded perspectives, deepened convictions and awakened sleeping dreams in these young leaders. We squarely confronted issues like death and how to prepare for it by maximizing our impact through a disciplined and organized life. The eagles are ready to soar!

One of the highlights of the retreat are the mind-stimulating discussions about purpose and identity. It's impossible to change the trajectory of a man's life without getting them to think critically about these fundamental issues. We're glad our Archers have been set firmly on that path.
Work hard, play hard…. Archers flowing between the polarities of energy flow with some interesting team building activities. It is a time to grow through play.

The Archers league retreat is getting richer and deeper by the day! Characterized by thought provoking discussions about Africa, potential, purpose and discipline, it’s also a time to grow through....play!
The poem INVITATION, by Oriah Mountain Dreamer artistically celebrates the virtues of endurance, self control, compassion and tenacity. These virtues decide whether we stand after we're shaken, whether we stay down after we're cast down by life's tornadoes. They determine whether our relationships will survive the storms of betrayal and hurt. Voiced by our gifted Archers, Hussein and Jamillah, the poem is worth pondering!

It’s the first of it’s kind and the best of it’s kind; it’s the IGNITE Archer’s league retreat! After two months of painstaking mentorship and online training, we’re now retreating for 3 days of intensive in-house training and nurturing of the Archers. We see in this select group of young people great potential to create a new tomorrow for Africa. That’s why we’re rewiring their minds to become character strong leaders, built up in IDENTITY, PURPOSE and PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.
When you master the strength to press on in weary times; the resolve to keep moving when every voice yells 'stop!' and the humility to stay real in high places...then we can say with Rudyard Kipling:
"Yours is the earth, and everything that's in it!"

As we stand at the threshold of a brand new year, we look with elated expectation at the immense opportunities ahead. On the other hand, we're also keenly aware of the potential obstacles that await us. Nevertheless, with firm resolve we hereby renew our commitment to crafting the Africa of our dreams! We'll challenge the children of Africa to celebrate their heritage and say with deep seated pride: I AM AN AFRICAN!

Today our hearts overflow with gratitude to all of you that participate in various ways to make our work a success. Here is a short message from us to you...
Many times we can learn more from defeat, than success. We all suffer defeats from time to time on our journey. Think of what didn't go as planned in 2023, did you learn a positive lesson out of it? Defeat, if well managed, can be an ally not an enemy. It can reveal what we're not, what doesn't work and what realignments we need to make. Defeat, My defeat!
Looking back at the year 2023, each one of us has a story to tell; a story of mountains surmounted, peace in the midst of a fiery storm, strength in time of weakness. It's time to overflow with gratitude because we're all STORYTELLERS.
