We weren’t made to simply receive the comfort of God in our own troubles. God gives comfort to us so that we can introduce it into the lives of others when they are in need of it. Happy Wednesday everyone! Champs peeps, see y’all at (Wylie Swim Club) tonight at 6:30!

How do we learn God’s ways? We always hear in church that “God’s ways are higher than our ways,” but how do we tell the difference between His ways and ours?? Do we do what the world says and “just Google it!”?? Not quite. If you ask the world a question, you get the world’s answer. But if Psalm 25:9 is to be believed (and it is), God will guide us and teach us His ways if we are humble - in other words, if we let go of our pride and any thought that we could accomplish anything without Him. Listen, when Jesus ascended back to the Father, God sent the Holy Spirit down to teach us His ways; and if we will humble ourselves and listen to that still, small voice, He will show us our part in His plan. But be careful, our pride can be a loud gong in our ears which, if it’s not dealt with, will keep us from hearing what He wants to teach us.

Live a life of love…

This isn’t saying God is going to stomp like an ant if you do something wrong. The foundation of all the wisdom you need in this life is found in knowing the only One knows everything and can do anything, and yet still wants to be close to us. He knows our every thought and fault, and He still offers His Son to pay the price for eternal souls.

Listen up guys, God can’t exalt you if you’re too busy exalting yourself. Trust that He can do a way better job of lifting you up than you can.

Wednesday Night Fellowships are back on! TONIGHT!Come join us from 6 (or whenever you can get there) to 8 pm at Champions for some great fellowship around the Word of God. The only thing that could make it better is you being there!

Hey Champions, Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we need to again pause Wednesday Night activities. REMINDER! Men of Champions breakfast will continue as scheduled this Saturday at 7:30 am; also, Sunday morning services are unchanged and continue as normal Sunday at 10 am!

Hey Champions! We’re going to go ahead and pause tonight’s Wednesday night activities due to the harsh winter weather that’s coming our way. Stay home and stay warm and dry with your families and we’ll see you Sunday at 10 a.m. (when it should be much warmer).

Youth and Kingdom Kids are combining for an epic Christmas Party, tonight from 6 to 8 pm in the Champions sanctuary! Bring a gift for the exchange ($5 or less) and a friend or two to enjoy the pizza and games (TP may or may not be involved). Don’t miss out!

Hey Champions! Join us this Saturday morning at 9 am as we decorate the church for the wonderful Christmas season! Many hands make light work, so we should be finished quickly.

Men - MOC will still be meeting Saturday morning at 7:30 and then transitioning into the decorating.

Unfortunately we cannot gather tonight as usual due to some weather that is strongly forecasted, but we can still be in the presence of God no matter where we are. You guys rock and we hope to see you Sunday, and at Generations Youth next Wednesday, provided West Texas doesn’t decide to have another meltdown.

Verse 9 goes on to tell us that our salvation is not by our works, no matter how good they may be, so nobody can brag about how good they are. I don’t know about you, buy it is a comfort to me that I do not have to be perfect in every area of my life to earn God’s salvation. Does that mean I should go do whatever I want because I know God will forgive me and save me? Not really. It means that because God first loved us and made a way for us to be saved, we will do what is right in His sight.

So, in light of what He has done for you and for me, let’s shine like the bright lights of the world that we were created to be in this dark world!
