I spent the last couple of days at an amazing conference for female State Farm agents in our market area. It was so good to spend some time with likeminded women who have similar goals and ambition and who also share some of the same struggles. It was a pleasure to meet our EVP and Chief Agency, Sales and Marketing Officer, Kristyn Cook. She is so impressive and so very personable. I am renewed, inspired and motivated!

Our baby got married this weekend! It was the most spectacular day! Our hearts are just bursting with joy over the love of friends and family that was poured into our family on the big day! We are so grateful!! ❤️

I just wanted to take a moment to show off my shiny new gas meter at the office! The old ugly one was taken out by someone who chose to run over my meter and leave the scene. My office neighbor happened to see the vehicle and was able to provide a description to Abilene Police Department. Shout out to Jeff Hogue at APD for searching down the vehicle and finding the driver. The driver didn’t have a license or insurance so I’m out my $300 for repairs to the meter, but I am so appreciative of Jeff’s diligence in finding the perpetrator. That guy’s tickets are going to be a lot more than paying for my gas meter would have been. Proud of my APD!

Abilene Music Awards is always such a fun night! We are so proud of Reagan Berry. This is a principal with some pipes! Reba would be proud! Reagan won People’s Choice award! Great fun for a great cause!

It was a beautiful night to be out at the ballpark watching some Abilene Flying Bison baseball. If you haven’t been out to watch a game, grab some friends and go!

Chloe had the opportunity to present to her State Farm peers on best practices in our office. I’m so proud of her! Chloe is a rockstar and knocked it out of the park with her presentation today!

I spent my morning volunteering for CALF– Children’s Art and Literacy Festival, an event that places an emphasis on families, art and literacy.

Did you know Abilene is the Storybook Capital of America? Our community has dedicated itself to showcasing the wonders of children’s literature. Isn’t that awesome?!!

I was one of the 500 volunteers needed to host this fabulous festival! I was stationed at The Well for the Marionette puppet show. It was a huge hit with the kids. I was happy to see some younger adults handling the puppets. I feel like this could be a dying art!

Congratulations to the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council on another successful year of the CALF. What a great event for our community!

My baby is getting married and I am so thankful for the people in our lives that want to shower Pierson with love and gifts to help her start her married life with Brady! We feel so blessed to have friends who go above and beyond to make a bridal shower so special! The love is in the details! My beautiful friends made sure Pierson had her favorite sweets, and with a “Love is Brewing” theme, we enjoyed the most amazing espresso and tiramisu martinis…. My favorite!

I am so very thankful for my beautiful friends that hosted the most special shower! And we are so grateful for all the friends and family that came to celebrate with us!

Wedding bells will be ringing soon! We can’t wait!! ❤️

Rick and I celebrate 31 years of marriage today! Can’t imagine life without Rick by my side! We are so blessed!

We celebrated by working a full day. Rick bought groceries for us and we enjoyed dinner together at Copper Creek. Life is good!

She did it! Jordan graduated from Texas Tech today. We are so very proud! She wore her dad’s watch, a necklace given to her by Doc, and a ring with Claire’s fingerprint. There were shouts of joy from heaven celebrating this accomplishment!!

I met Justin Bieber’s mom today!

Christian Homes held a wonderful luncheon today! It was beautiful and touching. Pattie Mallette, Justin Bieber’s mom, was the guest speaker. She shared her life experiences, which included childhood trauma, teenage pregnancy, and drug and alcohol abuse. She testified to God‘s grace and goodness following her decision to keep her baby after her unexpected pregnancy.

It was especially fun to attend the luncheon with Pierson! It’s so fun to have an adult daughter living in Abilene! ❤️

Car Walk was so much fun tonight! So many people were downtown enjoying the cool cars and the amazing weather! I ❤️ Abilene!

My favorite thing about Car Walk is watching how a common interest in cars brings people together. So many people having conversations over cars that might not ever engage in conversation. Loved watching fathers and sons admiring the cars together. It was a great night!
