Last week our 3rd and 4th graders had an exciting trip to Hawk Mountain. They prepared for the trip the students by studying birds of prey, their anatomy, and migration habits.

We observed several bald eagles, some vultures, and had the extraordinary delight of seeing an immature golden eagle soaring above us. The golden eagle was being dived bombed by a red-tailed hawk, adding to the excitement of our sighting.

Jog-a-thon, we like to say, is the BEST day of the year as staff and parents gather to cheer on our student runners and then enjoy an afternoon filled with fabulous food, baseball, and lawn games.
