What do I mean by "Book of Acts Church"?

A church that is center around, becoming like Jesus through relationships, spiritual growth, action, accountability, servanthood, integrity and responsibility to the Great Commission...

We are a Church... A Book of Acts Church... .Laboring to Keep the Ministry Pure while laboring to producing the caliber of Christians that we read about in the book of Acts.

We understand that a Book of Acts Church almost seems to be a rare thing in the times in which we live today, .but the Church that God intended... the Church that the Gates of Hell would not prevailed against... .what was birthed in the Book of Acts and the true way it should be established and function has never changed.

The Book of Acts Church is what the world needs today and it is what Followers of Christ are called to be..

Today's Church is NOT producing the same caliber of Christianity as those Christians in the Book of Acts.

But how can we when many Churches are so busy becoming "relevant", "contemporary", working to build their "own" kingdom, preaching motivational self help, make you feel good messages, while striving to becoming the happening place, so that they can draw the masses and offer something that would keep them coming so that they can meet the bills and call themselves a thriving ministry.

Many Churches are spending more money on salaries, buildings, programs and marketing the church as a corporate business and calling it "ministry".

In doing so, we have trained the body of Christ to become more interested in buildings, programs, positions, titles, having their ears tickled and entertainment rather then a real "book of Acts" Christianity.

So much so that if a Church is not meeting in a nice building somewhere... then it is not considered a valid ministry.

Think about it.... if you meet in a "home"... do not pay your "pastor"... "staff"... "music director" or "musicians"... then spend most of your budget on "missions", "feeding the hungry" and the "needs of people".

If you spend the Wednesday night service in "spiritual growth" only... and what some would call Sunday School, is spend in teaching people how to "win their world for Christ"... and every member during the week is sharing Christ, fishing for men... and in your main service the pastor is equipping people to live a selfless, sacrificing, servanthood.

The ministry is "people"... the ministry is work... laboring for the Kingdom type of lifestyle....

Many people would not attend this kind of Church because they have to be involved and can't just sit in the back and blend in.

You see, should you invite people to this kind of Church... many people in the community may not consider it to be a "real Church" or "ministry"... for many people would not get pass that fact that you are meeting in a "home"... and think to themselves, that "you must not be a real" Church".... for we have been taught that bigger is better.... and technology is a sign of success.

Yet this type of home Church that is selfless, servant minded, actively reaching the world for Christ... is the body of believers describes the "Book of Acts New Testament Church"

Now are you saying that we must go back to this kind of Church.... YES... I am saying we must go back to the methods that raised the caliber of Christians that were meeting from house to house.

For it is not where we meet... it is about what we are truly producing at the end of the day.

Reality is... the only way to produce Christians of the same Caliber of those in the Book of Acts... is to model the Church after those of the Book of Acts.

Those Christians who "loved not their life even unto death"... those Christians were selfless... sacrificing... servants who considered themselves bought with a price and no longer their own and just didn't qoute it but lived that way.

They were so in love with Jesus that their purpose and priority in life was to be fisher's of men, bring men and women into the kingdom and make disciples.

In Acts two, 3000 were added to the church... in the fourth chapter 5000 were added to the church... by the eight chapter persecution has scattered the church as far as Samaria and Saul was dragging men and women to prison and the bible tells us that while the apostles stayed in Jerusalem, the church, the 8000 were preaching the Gospel everywhere.

Not the Apostles but the Church folk.

The system of the Book of Acts to established and operate the Church was nothing like the system that we use today.

In the Book of Acts the system looked more like this:

Started with the disciples fishing for men and making disciples who would make disciples.

They operated in true unconditional love and unity

They were a true family having all things in common

They met from house to house

They continued in Apostles doctrine, prayer and breaking of bread

They operated in the power of the Holy Spirit and became an unstoppable force, turning their world upside down

God added to the Church daily such that would be saved, with miracles, signs and wonders following them who believed.

Think about it... every follower of Christ was in “full-time” ministry and there is:

No Building
No Programs
No sound system or equipment
No Pastor's Salary
No Paid Worship Leaders
No Paid Musicians
No scheduled revival, miracle or healing services

With $0 overhead... think of the money that can go to pure ministry... feed the hungry... caring for widows and orphans... fullfulling the Great Commission.

Not to mention... no expenses on church anniversaries or 5 days of pastor appreciations.

No more centering ministry around personalities, talent and gifting.

Only Celebrating Jesus.

Could it be that we have done Church our own way for so long that many have convinced themselves that what they have done for years is the way Church should be done.

Yet never realizing the way we have been doing Church in our day... is NOT BIBLICAL.

I must say... it is SO SAD that many in our communities would rather go to a place where they can blend in... pick and choose.... a "turn-key" Church that has all the programs for all the age groups... that is entertaining and non confronting of my "issues" of life... a place where I can pay my tithe but take no responsibilities... and "leave Church up to the "professionals"... the pastor and his staff.... a place that will turn their heads to a persons faults (sins) and build people who are living in sin, up with something motivational that makes them feel better about themselves, but do not hold them accountable, for many people like their issues (sins) after all, we are taught that life is about "Me"...

Please understand, I am not against the Church, for Jesus is coming back for the Church...

But I am presenting the ugly reality the Church is facing today and how we got here.

The ugly reality is... ministers over the last 100+ years have done a poor job of passing down the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In an effort to "help" God reach people... they have compromised and brought every type of method of the world, into the Church, taking the principles of business and using them to build a church.

It is a "Leadership Issue"... for where the head goes... the body follows.

There are no bad students... just bad teachers... and in our day... teachers who were once students, they had a bad teacher.

Now in many places, in the effort to have "Church", we have trained people to be "entertained"... to join a social group because anyone who is "anyone" is a part of this.... and to even go as far as to be careful not to offend anyone.

We have compromised and "sold-out" to the world so much that when a real persecution comes... and it will very soon... this type of people will compromise and sell-out... because they have been trained and conditioned to love their "own life" more then the cause of Christ... they love their comfort... food... cars... houses.... titles... positions in community... vices and issues.... and do not understand real sacrifice, servanthood, or selflessness.

You may say that I am judgmental or being too hard....then test yourself... .take away facebook, twitter and all access to the internet, cell phone, or any love or hobby... for one month... and I suspect... within the first 24 hours someone will be going through.... "withdraws".

You see... this is how you will find out what you are really addicted too.

Ok, you may not be a drug addict... but we have created a church full of people who are good people... but addicted to their technology... toys... hobbies... and self.

Ministry is People...

But in so many places pastors have focus more on buildings, programs, technology and growth... and as a result... we have given birth to a monster that needs to be fed.

That monster is the 3 to 30+ millions of dollars in building mortgages, overhead and salaries, which are the beast that they have to feed.

In order to do that... many pastors have put real faith aside and implement "business stradegies"... "marketing technics"... and methods in the name of God and Faith... to make this next Church service more impressive, sensational and entertaining then the last service so that they can get more people to come... stay... and help them "FEED the BEAST"

This is done in order to validate his vision and ministry... and show the world that it is a "success".

It has also becomes the measuring stick or symbol of his "anointing". and this launches him into a need to write books... and any other thing that can contribute to feeding the beast or making him wealthy.

And it is all justify by self declaring phrases, some which is from scripture like: "Spirit of Excellence"... "I am a Child of the King"... "Head not Tail"... "Born to Prosperity"... "Money Cometh unto Me"... "I can have what I want... I can have what I decree"... connecting much of this to seed time and harvest or reaping a havest and many times taking scripture out of content.

I want to Remind you.... whenever Jesus spoke of harvest it was always about souls.

Pastors... Preachers... Ministers... we must Repent! and put away a "selfserving gospel"

If we are going to produce the caliber of Christians that God desires... WE MUST GET BACK TO THE BOOK OF ACTS.

We believe the Church that God intended... the Church that the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against is the Church that was birth in the Book of Acts.

Time does not change this, culture does not change this for God has not changed, His intention was His followers to be an unstoppable force of disciple makers.

This is what we should go back to as followers of Jesus.

For how the Church was birth is how it will go out... like the Book of Acts... under persecution, imprisonment, but unstoppable power.

Come and join us as we follow Jesus like those who have gone before is in the Book of Acts.

COLUMBINE STUDENT'S FATHER 12 YEARS LATER !!
Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript:
"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.

"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death.

Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent.

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!

My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"

Me: (ashamed)

God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed):Okay

God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I see God

God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.

Me: I'm Sorry God

God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.

Pastors... Wake Up!
Halloween vs Trunk or Treat...

If you were truly converted to Christianity and you came out of a partying, drunken lifestyle, where every week you went clubbing or you ran from bar to bar to take advantage of happy hour where they are offering free drinks, would you continue in that lifestyle? Of course not.

If that be so... would it be ok for you to dress up once a year, like your going clubbing or bar hopping... fill your liquor bottles with water or tea because you no longer drink but you just want to look the part... then go from place to place walking like you use to walk... talking like you use to talk... dancing around like you use to... all in the name of celebrating a worldly holiday... and justify it by saying that "I may look like the old man, but it is ok, because there is no real liquor in my bottle... it is water or tea".

As the truly converted Christian, we are not to conform, be like the world. The one who is like the world is an enemy to God. We are to put off the old man and put on the new, meaning, we are not to go back and put on the old man... not even for a day.

So why do Christians celebrate Halloween?

Do we really think that changing the name to "harvest party" or "trunk an treat", but traditionally having some of the same activities the pagans did, somehow it is supposedly cleans up the pagan practice. The dressing up in costumes and the passing out of candy.

I say to you... it is the same as a once clubber or bar hopper who became a Christian, turning away from that lifestyle, now dressing up and acting like the old man he was suppose to have put to death. His answer is "it is ok, for it is just once a year and I am not really partying, I just look like it, but I have cleaned it up and it is now righteous somehow, because I am just having clean fun"

If I call stealing, borrowing... gossip, a prayer request... lying, a story... drunkenness, fornication, adultery, or any other deed of the flesh, "issues". It becomes easy to not see nor call it what it is... it is SIN.

No matter what label you put on the tradition of Halloween... it is a worldly practice and nothing worldly pleases God.

We are teaching our children that it is ok to walk in the ways of the world, as long as we clean it up and put Jesus in it.

Pig slop... (domestic liquid waste. Scraps used as food for pigs) ...is pig slop, no matter how you serve it. On the ground or on a silver platter.

Let's Get Real About Halloween...
and "Trunk n Treat"...

Christians and the Church, must not bow to the norms of culture, just because it is popular.

Some things, are not able to be redeemed! ...Necromancy, witchcraft, and celebration of occultic things are some of them.

Regardless of how popular it may become, to succumb to the "fun" that culture presents.

We must continue to stand against such blatant evil, and not compromise what we know to be true...

Halloween is evil, to it's core!

The mistaken claim that it is a "holiday" that came out of Christianity, is a lie.

It has some link to a celebration of the dead that was (and is) celebrated in Catholicism, but it is of pagan origins, as many things in the Catholic church were and are.

There are many things that the Catholic Church celebrated and did, that was and should be, soundly rejected by protestant Christianity, including purgatory and other such beliefs about the dead.

As much as I love many Catholic people, sadly there is much superstition and false beliefs within their doctrines and beliefs that are downright wrong, and even rooted in pagan beliefs.

Understand, I am not being religious or operating in a religious spirit.

It is called righteousness and holiness... two terms that are not taught much nowadays.

We must not continue this kind of compromise, as it is weakening the gospel message we carry!

Halloween has many more ties to Samhain (pronounced "sow-in") than anything else, which is what makes it so very evil.

Samhain was and is, an ultra pagan celebration, celebrated by witches and those in the occult for centuries.

Samhain, also known to many as the origin of Halloween, was a powerful and special demon of Hell and was one of the 66 Seals.

This demoned could only rise when summoned by two powerful witches through three blood sacrifices over three days, with the last sacrifice day on the final harvest, Halloween.

Simply put...a Christian should not be celebrating something so blatenly evil.

It celebrates death, evil, gore, fear, and demons...and it has gotten worse and worse by the year. Why? Because instead of standing against it, many "Christians" have decided to join in the "fun".

What one generation tolerates, another generation celebrates...and that is how we have gotten to this place!

Many think there is nothing wrong with it, as long as they dress up as bible characters or something cute, then it is not evil.

WRONG!, because you cannot clean up or change the root purpose of that day.

Much of what we think of as innocent "fun", is actually playing with fire, because of what the day represents.

If people only knew the evil that the occult practices on this day, the witchcraft, the sexual abuse and sacrifices... they would want to have nothing to do with it!

I honestly question Pastors, supposedly "mature" Christians and "leaders" in the body of Christ, who have no problem celebrating this day...and even some who claim that they have "reconstituted it" as something fun and good.

As I said before, some things can not be reconstituted, as they are blatantly evil to their core!

It is astonishing to me how so many Pastor, "Christians", and even leaders continue to fight for their right to celebrate a pagan day that is so rooted in all that God opposes!

Have you noticed the darkness has gotten more blatant lately...witches talking about cursing people, zombies, vampires, everything dark being celebrated and liked, even by Christians?

This is because the Church itself has become lukewarm.

They have become like the world, instead of being set apart as a holy people unto their God.

It's time the church stop doing things just because it's popular in culture, but ask the Lord how He feels about it, and ask Him to show them if it's not pleasing to Him.

It's time God's true Bride become holy again, and live as a holy people, set apart unto their God.

The Word of God has this to say:

Deuteronomy 18:10‭-‬13

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God.


Isaiah 5:20

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

Isaiah 8:19

"And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?"

2 Kings 23:24

"Furthermore, Josiah got rid of the mediums and spiritists, the household gods, the idols and all the other detestable things seen in Judah and Jerusalem."

Judges 6:25

"That same night the Lord said to him [Gideon], 'Take the second bull from your father’s herd, the one seven years old. Tear down your father’s altar to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole beside it.'"

I love you when your mean to me...

I love you when you hurt me and cause me pain...

I love you when you plot against me...

I love you when you have betrayed me...

I love you when you talk evil about me...

I love you when you hate me...

I love you when refuse to trust me...

I love you when you no longer believe any good in me...

I love you when you don't love me back..

I LOVE YOU UNCONDITIONALY... NO STRINGS ATTACHED...

TO LOVE UNCONDITIONALY, THE WAY THAT GOD LOVES US... MEANS THREE THINGS:

1. I must Forgive you The Way God Forgives...

When God forgives... He cast your sin as far as the east is from the west... He doesn't bring it up again... He treats you as if you never sinned.

2. I must Choose to trust you again and again...

When God Forgives... He doesn't require that you "earn back" His trust...

3. I must believe the best about you, especially when all that can be seen is the worsted...

1 Corinthians 13:7-8. Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. (7) Love never fails...

We have a choice...

Love is a Choice!
Trust is a Choice!
Forgiveness is a Choice!
Believing the best, is a
Choice!

(11) Beloved, if God so loved (unconditional love) us, we ought also to love (unconditional love) one another.

AGAIN... Understand...

NOBODY CAN TRULY KNOW GOD, NOR BE IN RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM...

UNLESS THEY MAKE THE CHOICE TO LOVE OTHERS...
..THE WAY THAT GOD LOVES US....

UNCONDITIONAL!

So how do we learn to love people "unconditionaly"...???

First, let us Understand this...

When we deserved to be loved least... God loved us the most...

He sent His only Son to pay the price for our sins...

But even so... Jesus had a choice... in the Garden He asked the Father... "if there is any other way... but not my will... but yours be done"... by obedience He went to the cross...

When He was crucified... no one took His life... He laid down His Life...

His death and resurrection, broke the power of sin and death... giving us the freedom of choice!

Love is a Choice!
Trust is a Choice!
Forgiveness is a Choice!
Believing the best, is a
Choice!

Secondly, it is by obedience we make the above choices...

We must choose to lay down our "rights" and make these choices!

Let's be honest... it is easier said the done... when others treat you unjustly... yes, knowing this is one thing... doing it is something else altogether...

So, I ask... are you doing it...

Are you making these right choices???

If we know what to do and don't do it... it is Sin.

Sin still separates you from God...

Let us examine ourselves and see if we are in the Faith... and then let us fight the good fight of Faith.
