♒️ In this Age of Aquarius, New York hippies form a tribe that protests the Vietnam War and explores the spectrum of counter-culture in the late 1960s. The youth energy and idealism of this tribe strives to solve the plethora of America’s problems. Their hair is their flag that represents the rebellion as well as the hope they have for love, peace, and freedom for the people ♒️

🧽Most musicals have 4-5 featured roles, this show has 10! More opportunity to feature more students
🧽Dance ensemble for students who aren’t comfortable singing or acting
🧽Well-known title & writers = appeals to a large audience
🧽Generation of young people who haven’t had access to theater because of COVID = Student Matinees!

SJND theater is excited to announce our 21-22 musical- XANADU 🌟Based on the 1980’s cult classic movie, Xanadu follows the journey of a magical Greek muse, who descends from Mt Olympus to Venice Beach, on a quest to inspire a struggling artist to achieve his greatest creation- a roller disco! It’s hilarity on wheels 🛼
