At our May 2024 meeting, the Criterion Club welcomed CEO of Albany/Leesburg Housing Authority, Dr William Myles. Dr Myles shared an incredible amount of information centered around the need of affordable housing and how the role of our elected officials plays in deciding whether or not new housing be built. Dr Myles will organize a group visit by members of the Criterion Club so that we may see firsthand the daily functions of the housing authority board. A brilliant administrator, Dr Myles appears to be the right person delivered at the right time. Great presentation and awareness

Outstanding support from the Criterion Club of Albany as we supported the political forum held at Dougherty High School. Voters had an opportunity to listen to each incumbent and candidates who are vying for several positions in South Georgia as well as Dougherty County and city of Albany. We encourage all citizens to register to vote and early vote in the upcoming elections.
The Criterion Club of Albany encourages all concerned and registered voters to attend this event and get to know who may best best qualified to support the citizens.
