Today, we hosted our Moving Up Ceremony for our 8th grade scholars. 🎓👑📜

These boys have worked super hard throughout the school year and are excited to transition to High School!

Congrats to our Basketball Team on being selected the 2023-24 TimesUnion Boys Team of the Year!

2023-24 boys’ Team of the Year: Green Tech basketball persevered on journey to state title Green Tech stood at 9-6 overall after dropping a 65-56 decision against Shaker Jan. 26. From there, the Eagles did not lose again.

Today we honored scholars that have surpassed different milestones throughout the year in academics, athletics and social interactions! It was amazing to witness, keep up the great work scholars!

Jayden Goodbee continues to be an amazing, proactive, self sustaining scholar! In addition to receiving scholarship funds, attending and speaking at leadership conferences, numerous GTH accolades and awards Jayden has also been awarded an opportunity to participate in the National Youth Leadership Forum with an emphasis on Business Innovation at Yale University this summer! Keep up the amazing work Jayden!

The GTH Board of Trustees will be hosting their very first Chat & Chew this Thursday! Please review the flyer for details.

Congrats to Senior Nickolas Barba!

Big Board Sports Athlete of the Week: Nickolas Barba, Green Tech Nickolas Barba has sped his way into the record books at Green Tech after breaking the school’s record in the 100-meter dash. The senior is a standout in the classroom as well and has committed to the University of Bridgeport. Chrystal Stone has our Big Board Sports Athlete of the Week.

Green Tech Middle and High School Scholars continue to explore Medical STEM from the FACES Flying Classroom. This week the boys worked on dissection! They looked great in their Lab Coats, keep up the good work scholars!

Our Seniors are up next !

Some of our Staff and Scholars were invited to the Black & Latino Achievers Ball Sneaker Ball. Throughout the school year our scholars have participated in different activities/exercises surrounded by leadership, diversity, and mentorship hosted by The Black & Latino Achievers. Thank you to The Black & Latino Achievers for inviting us, everyone looked STELLARRRRR!

The Visual and Performing Arts department hosted a showcase where students showcased all their talents in art, music . They did an amazingggggg job and everyone was surprised with the wide variety of talents! Thank you to all who participated and The ALCS Dance Team Albany Leadership Charter School for Girls for collaborating with us, great job everyone!

Our musicians, artists and dancers have been working EXTRMLEY hard to put these events and performances together ! We hope to see you during our Showcase and/or parade(s) performance!

Green Tech Middle and High School Scholars continue to explore Medical STEM from the FACES Flying Classroom. We have about 25 Green Tech scholars who are a part of the pilot program hosted by Mrs. Kaweeda Adams and her Husband Mr. Eric Adam. Thank you for having us!

Senator Breslin recognized our Varsity Basketball Team and Head Varsity Coach DJ Jones on their accomplishments from the floor of the Senate!

The team had an opportunity to stand and be recognized in the gallery by all the Senators for the great season and beating undefeated team (Colonie) to win the Sectional Championship for the 3rd consecutive year! The Senator was joined by other Senators who acknowledged the honor it was to watch the team play this year under the leadership of Coach Jones and staff with a balanced attack of sharp shooting and high pressure defense.

Unfortunately, personal phone usage and pictures were not allowed during the session. We are still awaiting the professional photos that were taken

Kwasi Edge is OUR GTH Track & Field Qualifier in the 200 Meter Dash!!!!!!!!!! Kwasi is one of the VERY FEW students in GTH HISTORY who has qualified for States in Track & Field. Kwasi has achieved this accolade after continuous encouragement from our Athletic Director Coach France and just one year of hard work/dedication! We will follow up with details when we have further information, great Job Kwasi !

We are thrilled to invite you to our 2024 Art and Music Showcase, presented by the Green Tech High Visual and Performing Arts Department.

This special event will take place on Thursday, June 6th, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the visual arts wing at Green Tech High School.
Please join us in celebrating the achievements of our young artists and musicians. Your presence and support mean the world to our students, and we look forward to sharing this memorable evening with you!
