Back at it for the new year talking books!

What better Friday to kickoff our for the year than on the 13th with the paranormal! The book is available for checkout in the library and congratulations on learning something new today!

Not even 8:30am on the first day back with all 9-12th graders and we’ve got our first book checkout.

We’ve got the books! Welcoming classes to grab their summer reading titles or just something to have when you want to escape this summer. Come in to see us.

Thank you for spending the day putting library cards in the hands of our students (and staff). A rough guess is about fifty!

Special shout out to Ms. Murray and Major and First Sergeant for making special trips with students. Having a library card is important for lifelong learning.

Albany Public Library will be here on Thursday, June 6th to give out library cards and talk about their summer programs. Stop down during an available period.

And with last night’s Open Mic, that concludes our three events this year. You know we’ll be back next year with three more to showcase the awesome talent from poetry and piano, singing and rapping. And we sent off two seniors who have participated on multiple occasions including Easter who sang at EVERY Open Mic we’ve had to date.

Thank you to Mr. Cole, the extraordinary emcee and Mrs. Abdul the fantastic event planner. We couldn’t do it without the administrators and security staff in addition to the family and friends (and special teachers who perform or cheer) supporting the Falcons behind the mic.
