In the first snap, we’ve got Uta Pippig, the trailblazing German racer who smashed the Boston Marathon winning not once, not twice, but three times in ‘94, ‘95, and ‘96.

Then there’s this shot from 1967. Kathrine Switzer said, “Hold my water bottle,” and snatched herself a bib, making history as the first lady to officially run Boston. Sure, she had to dodge some jerks in the crowd, but she showed ‘em who’s boss!

Getting outside and being active no matter what people say (or do). That’s the Eastern Mountain Way. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
