Chair Lily M. Fan, along with SLA staff, spent some time in Western New York State this week, including tours of Resurgence Brewing Company, Hartman’s Distilling Co., and the Genesee Brew House! The visit also included meetings with staff from Empire State Development, Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and several elected officials in the region.
In the Authority’s ongoing effort to assist applicants and reduce the number of applications that must be filed, the SLA is offering applicants the opportunity to request multiple 30-day extensions at once when renewing their original 90 day Temporary Operating (ST) permit. Then on Saturday, Chair Fan met up with staff from Empire State Development, local county officials, and leadership from the brand new Dassai Blue Sake Brewery in Dutchess County. It was all to celebrate the grand opening of the first-ever Japan-led Sake Brewery on the U.S. East Coast.
