We're open! We have an herbalist in house all day today and as a reminder, we serve brunch all day on Sundays starting at 10am in the cafe - where you can also get any of our teas brewed up for you and the chai is made in house by us! (Menu is updated daily as we use all the fresh produce from the local farms).

RE: yesterday's break in: We got the broken glass cleaned up (and the thief's blood 😪 I'm so sad that this kid thought this was his best option - it's tough out there and I hate it) and I'm so so so beyond grateful seeing everyone's support on here and in person yesterday - I was really heartbroken over this, it's been a super tough year and I'm just keeping my head above water - and we missed out on one of the busiest days of the year yesterday (thank you to all of you who popped by to support while we were getting ourselves cleaned up).
The thief got away with no money except for some change - he also hit our direct neighbor to the north and broke several windows - but he did steal both our phones for us and - plus two laptops - so if you have been trying to call or text, sorry we're not getting the messages. (And if you have an old cell phone or laptop that is sitting around until you find a way to dispose of it, we'd gladly put them to use until we can get ours replaced).
And here is a beautiful picture from last fall of our Old Town Herbal window - and a pic of it boarded up today. Thank you for all the glass suggestions! We'll be getting it fixed tomorrow!
Thank you all and a huge thank you to my staff who so gracefully roll with the roller-coaster of life and keep this place singing. Love you all 😭❤️‍🩹

Hey friends! We are so happy to announce that our beloved Marci will be back at the store today and tomorrow selling her handmade jewelry! If you love supporting small businesses and want some genuine Dinè (Navajo) jewelry, come by and get some while she is visiting us!
Marci has been a consistent member of our community for several years now. In fact, most people around here refer to her as "Masana" or "Grandma" because she treats each of us with the love and wisdom of a grandmother.
You might have noticed her absence recently as she moved back to the reservation.
To help support her in the transition and make her home as functional and comfortable as possible, we are setting up a go fund me (link below in comments or in the linktree in bio) to get her running water and electricity.

Hey all thank you for your patience while we have been closed this week - we are planning to reopen tomorrow, Friday May 26th - We will be reopening .st.curry.chai on Saturday at 11am.

We closed last Friday after a sudden death in my family. I know this loss also impacts many of you in the community, and at some point in the future we will be having a beautiful celebration of life for my brother but at this time we appreciate your respect for our privacy while my family grieves and navigates this loss.

Many of you have been asking how you can help. Truly, financial help is most useful right now as payroll, utilities, rent, perishable food costs are still needing to be paid regardless of us being closed... this new business is a hungry baby. Slide 2 is my venmo - or any other means of support are gratefully accepted.

Slide 3 is the yahoo who broke into tiny grocer ABQ on Monday night this week. Do you know him? Or have you found our safe discarded in the neighborhood? He got no cash, but ... come on ...... 😑
