Last week, in remembrance of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, students from our Police Training and Education program, led by Scout Troop #496's Chris Kleven, helped display nearly 3,000 U.S. flags on 3M property in Alexandria, MN.
The flags, visible from Highway 29, symbolized each life lost on that fateful day and stood as a powerful reminder of the resilience, unity, and courage that followed.

Our Legends men's golf team is off to a fantastic start for the 2024-2025 season!
At the Spartan Invitational, the Legends dominated by taking 1st place with a team score of 295, 9 strokes ahead of the competition. At the Bemidji Invitational, battling back from 10th place after day 1 to finish 4th overall. Their impressive second-day performance had them just a few strokes away from 2nd place!

Second year students in the Police Training & Education Program were practicing fingerprinting skills this week in their CSI course. The students are learning to analyze prints for the overall pattern, practicing rolling fingerprints on a 10-print card, and collecting prints with powder and tape. Next week, they will use chemicals to process fingerprints on items, and will learn how to cast footprints and tire tracks.

It was an honor to host the Shield616 plate presentation event and support their mission to help local law enforcement!
Shield616 outfitted five departments with 89 sets of Angel Armor plates. They provided 23 sets to Pope County MN Sheriff's Office, Glenwood MN Police Department, and Starbuck Police Department. We hosted our Hands-On Manufacturing Camps this summer, giving high school students a unique opportunity to dive into the world of manufacturing technologies. Students entering grades 10-12 explored Mechanical Drafting, Machine Tool Technology, Welding, and Mechatronics through hands-on activities.
