FAITH-FILLED FAMILIES: HOW CHURCH LEADERS CAN SUPPORT PARENTS WEBINAR:
Research shows that a child’s faith journey is deeply impacted by their parents and caregivers. This webinar, designed for clergy, lay, and church school leaders, offers research-based information on parenting for faith, and ideas for how church leaders can help parents gain confidence in their ability to nurture their children’s faith development. Our presenters for this webinar are Donna Sweeting, Project Director of Lifelong Learning's Faith-filled Families Initiative, and Sarah Bentley Allred, Forma Convener and developer of Vibrant Faith's Practical Tools for Raising Faithful Kids.
This event is brought to you by the department of Lifelong Learning at Virginia Theological Seminary
This webinar will occur via Zoom, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. eastern December 4, 2023. Registrants will receive access to the recording afterward, even if you missed it live. Registration link: https://FfF-church-leaders-support-parents.eventbrite.com

10 Important Times to Pray With Your Children It's important to pray for your kids. But you should also be praying with your children.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness & Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Faith-filled Families reminds you that our children are WATCHING. If you need help, call 800.799.SAFE (7233).
October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Faith-filled Families acknowledges that is not just about wearing pink ribbons or adorning ourselves with symbols of support. It’s about education, early detection, and access to quality care. It’s about fostering a culture of openness and dialogue that removes the stigma and fear associated with breast cancer. By increasing awareness, we empower individuals to take control of their health, to seek screenings, and to engage in proactive discussions with their healthcare providers.
Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching. (1 Timothy 5:17). As we celebrate Pastors’ Appreciation Month, Faith-filled Families acknowledges all those who labor in the vineyard and extends heartfelt thanks for the sacrifices made in serving God, church, and community.
On the significant occasion of VTS’ Historic Bicentenary, Faith-filled Families would like to convey our warm wishes to the VTS community. We are honored to be part of a 200-year tradition of Word, Witness & Work in the world.
