2019 Pegasus Scholar John Burke, Esquire was the keynote speaker at the annual banquet of the Vassar B. Carlton American Inn of Court (AIC) in Melbourne, FL last night.

In 2021, John became the first Pegasus Scholar in the 30-year history to join the English Bar as a practicing barrister. He was called to the Bar at the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2021 and recently joined as an associate member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple where he volunteers as a Pupils' Advocacy Trainer. He is a barrister at law with the Legis Chambers in London, England, AIC National Advocacy Training Program alumnus, member of the AIC Pegasus Scholarship Committee, and is the lead for planning the AIC Pegasus Scholarship London Amity Visit fall of 2025.

The American Inns of Court Pegasus Scholarship Committee met this week and selected the 2024 Pegasus Scholars.

Stacey M. Burke is a member of the Judge Clarence Cooper American Inns of Court and Fulton County Assistant District Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia.

Meg S. Glasmann is a member of the David K. Watkiss-Sutherland II American Inns of Court and law clerk for Hon. Michele Christiansen Forster in Salt Lake City, Utah.

They will spend six weeks studying the English legal system visiting Northern Ireland, Scotland, and The Hague. Their program begins September 29, 2024.

Cindy Dennis, our awards and scholarships coordinator, has been elected an Honorary Bencher by The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in London. For more than 20 years, she has facilitated our scholarship exchange programs and arranged educational Amity visits between the American Inns of Court and our English counterparts both here and across the pond. Congratulations Cindy on receiving this high honor!
