ACTE’s premier leadership programs provide CTE professionals opportunities to enhance their leadership potential in three yearlong programs.
ACTE National Leadership Fellowship — Fellows will receive a $1,500 stipend and complimentary registration to ACTE’s CareerTech VISION and National Policy Seminar.
NextLevel Postsecondary CTE Fellowship — This nationally recognized program is now a registration-based initiative. Registration fees for accepted applicants will be $3,000 (not including lodging or travel for in-person events).
IAED Mentorship Program, sponsored by IMAGO — Participants will receive complimentary registration to ACTE’s CareerTech VISION and free access to IMAGO’s intelligence learning platform content.

Putting data to work: Using Data to Assess Effectiveness, Inform Expansion, and Ensure Equity

Learn how to use data to inform your efforts to support student, faculty, and staff. We will explore data scenarios and common data challenges to ensure real-life applications. Attendees are also welcome to bring their data collection, analysis, and decision-making challenges to discuss. Data managers and data users alike will benefit from this workshop, as well as program designers and those trying to figure out how to improve program outcomes. We welcome individuals and teams. A Jump-start for Industry Instructors: Developing Your Own “New Teacher Institute”

Creating powerful CTE learning environments starts with retaining high-quality CTE instructors. How do we design intentional induction activities to assist beginning CTE instructors? How do we help develop instructional skills needed to perform effectively in CTE classrooms and laboratories? This workshop will allow participants to explore the needs of new CTE instructors moving from the workplace into the classroom, as well as appropriate training topics to develop their own “New Teacher Institute” (NTI). In teams, participants will develop a structure and the content to frame a New Teacher Institute appropriate for their own campuses to give new instructors a jump-start!

Instructional Excellence for New CTE Teachers

This dynamic workshop is designed specifically for new teachers and new-to-CTE teachers. Receive clear and straightforward training that explains educational jargon and simplifies classroom and lab instruction in an easy-to-apply approach. Global Career Readiness: Going Beyond DEI

Girls in CTE: Strategies for Recruiting and Retaining Nontraditional Students
December 4, 1:00–4:30 p.m.

This session will benefit middle, high school, and postsecondary educators, administrators, and counselors. The session will highlight tangible strategies that can be applied immediately to ensure girls in CTE feel a sense of belonging. The session will include information on how Perkins funds can be used to develop recruitment and retention strategies that work. There will be time to ask questions and hear what has and what has not worked from others in the field. Co-presenter Abraham Ewing, a middle and high school CTE educator, will share his experience with increasing nontraditional students’ participation in manufacturing. Participants will leave with research-based moves and materials they can use — from Take Flight, an ongoing project funded by National Science Foundation that uses drones to engage girls in CTE and STEM classes.
