When we moved into our new office, we wanted to create a wellness space for our team to turn bad days into good ones and remind us why we do this work. What Mike Pacheco, a local artist and friend of SCAN, created for our team left us speechless. What an incredible night!! More than 240 guests joined us in Alexandria on Saturday to celebrate 35 years of progress in child abuse prevention.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and supporters, more than $252,000 was raised to support SCAN and help children dream again.

It’s officially — time to take a stand against drugs! Last night we joined the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Alexandria, Superintendent Dr. Melanie Kay-Wyatt, and youth advocates to kick off The Red Ribbon Campaign with a proclamation at City Hall.

This year’s campaign is centered around our signature youth poster contest. Winners are recognized at City Hall, receive a $100 gift card, and have their poster featured in Red Ribbon Week 2024!
