π π Today our K-9 Unit had the opportunity to train with MedEvac. This is a critical part of our job because if one of our K-9s are injured, MedEvac will fly our unit to Penn Ryan Veterinary Hospital in Philadelphia.
It takes approximately 17 minutes at 140MPH to get our unit from Lehigh valley Cedar Crest to Philadelphia.
This was a great opportunity and we want to thank the flight crew for the knowledge and professionalism shown to our department. ππ

From September 2023 through June 2024, (this past school year) 397 school bus camera violations were approved and issued to motorists who illegally passed school buses on roadways within Salisbury Township. These violations do not include standard traffic citations issued by officers on patrol who observed the illegal passing of a school bus. Although violations occurred on both sides of our township, the roadway with the most noted violations was Broadway, counting for 1 in every 3.

Attention Food Trucks and Food Vendors: In an effort to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all parties, Salisbury Township adopted a new food vendor ordinance in 2024. We have been educating and informing vendors that you need to have your truck, stand, trailer, or other source of vending inspected to ensure compliance for the year. We will now be moving to written violations for non-compliance followed by citation if written notification isn't followed. We had several vendors call and comply with this process. Please see attached link on how to operate in Salisbury Township and get your inspection done. Thank you all in advance so we can ensure proper safety and usage of food vending sources.

This afternoon, Salisbury Township Police were called to Lindberg Park to reset an electrical breaker that had tripped, causing a power outage in the pavilion during a church cookout. Pastor Benjamin T Hailey and his congregation from Union Baptist Church Allentown were so kind to our officers that our officers made a surprise return visit an hour later on both of the department's Enduro Units so the kids could check them out and take pictures. One young lady, who the Pastor described as exceptional, was awarded one of our department's Enduro Unit challenge coins. A great day in Salisbury Township!
Don't forget! We hope to see you there!
