Alliance Police K9

School is just right around the corner! The Alliance Police K9 along with FOP Lodge 73, are teaming up and helping with the back to school rush. We will be passing passing out some free supplies.

Xander had a busy day today. We had the privilege of leading the MLK parade and a demo afterwards.

Xander received a new K9 cruiser this week. Thank you to The Stout Family Foundation for the generous donation that outfitted the inside of the cruiser.

Reminder the Alliance Police K9 Benefit Gathering in memory of Jay Ball is this Sunday. K9 Xander hopes to see everyone there.

Xander enjoying a bath after a 12hr shift. We recently had a dog wash station installed at the police department. The dog wash station was paid for by donations to the K9 unit.

On 02/22/2023, at approximately 2130hrs., Afternoon shift officers were involved in a short pursuit with a felony warrant subject. The wanted female fled after officers attempted to arrest her on her parole warrant. While attempting to turn onto US 62, at over 50mph, in the rain, the vehicle went down an embankment, through a fence, and eventually got stuck when she attempted to continue driving. She then fled on foot, into the thick brush.

K-9 Xander advised his driver, Ptl. Palozzi, to head that way and assist. K-9 Xander was happy to see other officers set up a quick perimeter and he dragged Ptl. Palozzi to the truck to stark a track. K-9 Xander only had to follow the scent for about 50 yards before the fugitive was found attempting to hide in the creek. She was arrested and escorted from the creek.

K-9 Xander wants bad guys to know that rain or shine or fields or brush, he will come for you! Now, K-9 Xander is going to have Ptl. Palozzi pull the burs, pricklies, and mud from his fur.
