Finally posting pictures from our 30th anniversary. We had dinner out at Bistro VG in Atlanta on our actual anniversary which was August 29th. We just returned from our fabulous anniversary trip to Antigua so I’m posting lots of pictures from our trip. I get asked all the time what’s the success to our 30 year marriage and my answer is there’s no magic bullet we put in the effort and have had each other’s backs and from the get-go. There’s no such thing as 50/50 sometimes it’s 90/10 or 75/25 but the point is each of you will be at a low point along the journey and its up to you to pick that person up when that’s the case because when it’s your turn they’ll be there for you. It hasn’t always been easy we’ve lived apart and survived a long distance relationship, we barely saw each other over the five years when we were both in school, and working two jobs each, as we were putting ourselves through college. But when it’s your person, you make it work! At the end of the day every day I can’t wait to see and talk to him and am so blessed! So how do we make it work? You choose the one who gives you butterflies always, picks you up when you’re down and will be there no matter the circumstances. Oh and have a lot of laughs and fun along the journey! Here’s to many more…🥂🍾💕

💪 DIY Before & After! We love our back patio and spend a lot of time outside so we decided to transform the space. We limewashed the brick fireplace which brightened up the space and makes it look bigger (Link below for product we used). This was a super easy and inexpensive transformation & we love it! Next, we decided to tile our concrete patio floor which was much more labor intensive however, we saved a lot of $$$ and take great pride in our accomplishment! The keys to tiling a floor are to have the right equipment and tools – wet saw, tile spacers, thinset (to the right consistency), level, sponges, 2 buckets, grout, knee pads, tape measure & a lot of patience. You’ll find as we did walls aren’t plumb and the fireplace was not in the center which caused us to have to remeasure and layout the tile more than once. It’s very important to dry fit the tile before beginning to lay it down and will allow you to make changes because once it’s down it’s difficult to fix it.

🏋️♂️ 💪 🏊♀️ 👙 Prior to Covid, home gyms were considered more of a luxury. Now, having a space at home dedicated to workouts has become more of a necessity. With the shutdown of pools during the pandemic, there has been an increase in households that have added backyard pools. We're seeing home buyers who are requesting one or both. And our sellers are receiving a great return on their investment.
This family was referred to me after they decided to move on from the real estate agent they had been working with for months. It was extra special because they told me they credited me with the fact that their offer was accepted because I explained strategic ways to write a strong offer and get acceptance, even with multiple offers, & it all happened in a month’s time! They’re thrilled with their second home and are enjoying lake life.
