Oh, how sweet the smells are! In our cooking club, we made pumpkin cookies with cream cheese icing. A perfect treat on a beautiful fall day!!
In art club, we crafted fall flower bouquets; they were a hit! The residents enjoyed making them and using them to decorate their rooms.
This week, we will be celebrating the food of Cote D'Ivorie! There are estimated to be roughly 60 ethnic groups who have influenced the food on the Cote d’Ivorie. Even though they all have different diets, most of the diets consist of grains and rooted vegetables. Today is World Osteoporosis Day. Osteoporosis is a disease that causes the bones to become weak, making them more prone to fractures and breaks. Yesterday, our staff celebrated National Pasta Day with a Pasta Bar at Midtown Oaks. Our Dietary team prepared & served delicious lasagna, chicken alfredo, bread sticks and salad. Thank you!!

This month our Port of Call is the Cote D'Ivorie of Africa. Our residents have enjoyed making hand drums and pasta necklaces in art club; in our cooking clubs we made chocolate malva pudding and puff puffs.
