Iowa State University - Biomedical Sciences MS Program
Welcome to the Department of Biomedical Sciences Graduate Programs at Iowa State University.
The Department of Biomedical Sciences offers a one-year MS program that does not require a thesis, as well as MS and PhD programs. Areas of emphasis can include anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology. Interdepartmental majors are also offered in toxicology, neuroscience, molecular biology, genetics, and immunobiology.

Meet the BMS Class of 2023
Allison Clark completed her undergraduate degree at Drake University ('21), where she majored in Neuroscience. After completing her degree Allison taught at Drake, teaching intro to psychology and psychology statistics courses.
After completing the BMS 1-year program, Allison hopes to work at the CDC or NIH.

Meet the BMS Class of 2023
Macy Pollard joined the BMS program this fall, after completing her bachelor's degree in Genetics here at Iowa State University. While enrolled in the program, she is also working as a Laboratory Technician in the ISU Veterinary Diagnostic Lab.
After completing her MS in Biomedical Sciences, Macy hopes to work in medical diagnostic testing/research and design on medical prosthetics.

Meet the BMS Class of 2023
Makayla Maxwell is a graduate of Iowa State University ('22) and a current member of the ISU Gymnastics team. Last season Makayla earned All-American honors, and she has been on the Academic All-Big 12 teams for the last three seasons.
Makayla began the BMS Master's Program this fall and hopes to move on to PA school and specialize in pediatrics after she finishes her MS.

Hannah Choi joined the Biomedical Sciences MS program after completing her bachelor's degree in Animal Science at California Polytechnic State University.
After graduating from the BMS 1-year program, Hannah intends to pursue a career related to healthcare or biotechnology.
