Community Bible Church
We believe in the good news of Jesus Christ and the timeless authority of the Word of God. Our church
In Sunday's Adult Bible Class at Community Bible Church, we'll go through Psalm 147, rich with lines about God's control of creation, such as:
(6) He counts the number of the stars;
He gives names to all of them.
and
(8) He gives the beast its food,
and to the young ravens which cry.
and
(16) He gives snow like wool;
He scatters the frost like ashes. ...
(18) He sends forth His word
And melts them. ...
The psalm reveals not only that God governs nature, but that His sovereign care extends personally to us.
- The One who counts and names the stars surely knows who I am and where I am (including the messes I'm in).
- The One who feeds the wild animals will surely care for me.
- And the One who simply speaks to change the weather has spoken His special Word to His people, revealing His governance and care.

Sunday sermon snippet from Pastor Ed:
"All sin is an act of pride…. Pride is that connecting hub with all sins that we commit because ultimately it comes back to satisfying ourselves as opposed to God.”
