Construction is underway for the new Veterinary Diagnostic Lab on the Veterinary Medical Campus at Iowa State University. Nilles Associates is proud to be part of the design team, responsible for the civil engineering and site design for the facility!

Nilles Associates recently performed a profile and cross section survey of Little Beaver Creek for the City of Grimes. Streambank erosion is an ongoing issue with many waterways in Iowa. Many factors can contribute to the deterioration of a streambank, and our job is to study and determine those sources. Once we have identified those causes, we can make recommendations to our clients for the erosion management practice best suited for their situation.

So thankful we were able to celebrate together today with a Thanksgiving potluck in the office!

Nilles Associates has been pleased to be working with the City of Ankeny, Iowa on the SW State Street & SW Magazine Road Intersection Improvements project. Construction began last week on the project, which will add both northbound and southbound right turn lanes on SW State Street at the intersection of SW Magazine Road, along with pedestrian movement enhancements.

Another fun company outing to the Iowa Cubs last night! And a shutout win to top it off!

Something we don't see every day - &B Theatres Ankeny 12 & B-Roll Bowling installing air conditioning units using a helicopter today. It was amazing to watch how quickly and efficiently they were able to place the units!

Roger Silver of our office was pleased to participate in this tour yesterday, which included several of our past projects, including the Greenwood Hills Greenbelt in Johnston and several sites in Prairie Trail in Ankeny

Our surveyors found an old concrete monument in the gravel road on the Polk County / Story County line today. These markers are typically placed in a permanent manner so as not to be disturbed.
