When I was young, quite young, I thought I would have a challenge and then it would be over with and the rest of my life would be a bowl of cherries. How I arrived at that paradigm is beyond me other than maybe through Hollywood movies.

Sometimes we deal with challenging issues longer even much longer than we originally thought possible and or necessary. At times that challenge may be absolute devastation. If we do not have a grounded foundation in our perspective of who God is, and what the Word of God says, we can cave in, lose our faith langouring in what we thought life should look like. Even when our faith is strongly grounded in who God is and His word, we will still struggle. However, ultimately if we know Gods heart and Word, we’re sure where our feet need to land. Land where we know that God is a good God, and that ultimately He will turn that which is devastating or difficult into good, turn it for good, transform us in the process, make us more like Him.

In the book, Live Not By Lies, Dreher says the church has left the true Gospel trading it in for the ultimate goal of making “nice people” and “happy people”. Furthermore it has abandoned the “theology is suffering” creating a false paradigm that will ultimately create a disillusioned and deceptive view of life.

GOD recently said to me He’s turning the page. There was a lot more to this, including a vision. However, we are entering a new season. We have a fresh goal, assignment, experience, objective to get us closer to His intended end. This sounds great, but it also means we are going to be challenged to breakthrough to God’s intended end for this new season. There’s going to be great joy, there’s grace for this. But we must also be ready for the challenges, which will try to keep us from arriving at the intended destination. Listen to what I taught yesterday. You are more than able if your life is in and through Him and not your own self, power. So just get up and take the next step. In fact, don’t just get up late into your next place because we are going to the high place.
