Teachers Council seeks to improve U.S. education by assisting international teachers and US schools.
Our qualified international teachers have been placed in over 25 States in public, charter, private and parochial schools in many subject areas, including Early Childhood and Kindergarten, primary grades, middle and high school grades for all levels of math and sciences, including bilingual and ESL instruction at all educational levels. How exciting! Monali, an exchange visitor elementary Science teacher from India, shared her incredible opportunity to visit with the Governor of Ohio and the First Lady in their residence where they celebrated teachers! This fantastic event was organized by the Ohio Department of Education.
Monali also recently participated in a professional development opportunity through a teacher leadership summit. She was able to attend very informative sessions by eminent speakers who shared their knowledge. You are a strong educator and leader, we are so proud of you.

Teachers Council is excited to share that Tanique, an exchange visitor Computer Science teacher in New York, has again been recognized for her outstanding efforts in empowering her students.
Tanique, from Jamaica, led with self-confidence, her students to achieve the top 10 placement during the Fall Qualifier of the 2024 Microsoft Office Specialist US Championship taking place in the same state. Not only that, out of those 10, her students placed in the 2nd, 6th, 7th and 9th place. Last year, she was also honored with the 2023 Outstanding Educator Certificate from the Certipost's - Microsoft Office Specialist Fall Qualifier event.

Our leadership team is all smiles in front of the Teachers Council Annapolis headquarters with the knowledge that international educators around the globe are onboarding, obtaining visa approvals, and making travel plans to arrive in the US soon to begin their exchange visitor programs.
The upcoming year at schools across the country will have wonderful, qualified, interesting international teachers sharing their culture and years of teaching expertise with American students and their community. The mission of the program is to build diplomacy and mutual understanding between Americans and people from other countries. The "exchange" happens when teachers return home and share what they have learned teaching and living in the US!

Community volunteerism is a hallmark of American culture. We are thrilled to see the participation by exchange visitor teachers, and sisters, Rizabel and Rachel, along with their families, giving back to their Cincinnati community. Kudos to the generous volunteers who come together to support the athletes!
Rizabel shared, "It was such great experience to do volunteer work. We enjoyed joining the flying pig marathon. It’s a great honor to be part of it. We enjoyed the event and American people are very appreciative and thankful. We really thank you for this opportunity."
The U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs offered this opportunity for exchange visitors to volunteer at the 26th Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati, Ohio. Over the past eight years, exchange visitors from around the world have taken part in American volunteerism while meeting and socializing with other exchange visitors at marathons across the US.

Teachers Council is based just outside Washington DC in beautiful Annapolis, Maryland. There is a long standing tradition in the US that on May Day people put flowers on their doors.

The Rotary Club of Tyler held its 95th Annual Young Citizens Club Awards Banquet to honor outstanding students and teachers who embody good character and the core values of the Rotary Club. They honored over 80 students and 30 teachers, respectively, as they were nominated by their school teachers and counselors. Maggi was recognized as a Teacher Awardee!

Members of the Teachers Council Team had the pleasure of visiting two of our exchange visitor teachers, Stephanie, from Jamaica and Michelle, from the Philippines, at a nearby Maryland Math & IT Academy.
Seeing our amazing teachers do what they do best always brings huge smiles to everyone in our office! We were in awe of the technology and skills taught in the classrooms, and the administrative staff was wonderful! (But we already knew that!).
