St. Paul American Coptic Orthodox Church
Established in 2017, we are an all-English parish within the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Kenthucky.
Welcome to Saint Paul American Coptic Orthodox Church. The parish aims to be an expression of an American Orthodox church, reflecting the light of Orthodox Christianity to people from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds, while being completely faithful to the theology and rites of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria. Our congregation consists of members of the one body of Christ, dedicated both to our own salvation and to the salvation and aid of others in our community.

Dear Beloved Members of St. Paul American Coptic Orthodox Church and Beyond!
Grace and peace be with you during this blessed Nativity season. First and foremost, we thank God for the abundant blessings He has bestowed upon our church over the previous year. We are thrilled to share a year in review with you all!
In January 2023, under the guidance of His Grace Bishop Peter we have been blessed to pray weekly liturgies with Father Michael, including Holy Week, the Feast of the Resurrection and liturgical services with His Eminence Metropolitan Tadros, His Grace Bishop Angelos and our beloved Bishop, His Grace Bishop Peter.
The St. Paul congregation continued in several community service initiatives. In coordination with our sister churches in the Triangle, St. Paul’s participated in the Habitat for Humanity Orthodox Coalition Build. We closed the year sharing in the Christmas Samaritan shoebox drive, providing essentials and Christmas gifts to children of all ages.
Coinciding during the fast of our beloved mother St. Mary in August, we took the first step in securing our spiritual home. We are blessed to have a 3.5 acre property in Apex, NC!! This space, God willing, will serve as the foundation for our permanent church—a place where the community can gather, worship, and grow together in the Orthodox faith in this country’s native language.
In December, we marked another significant moment by praying the first Kiahk prayers in our new church home, and held a Paint and Praise event—a unique expression of spirituality and creativity that we are thrilled to share with our community.
