Wow! The weather certainly didn’t stop the community from coming out in force! Thank you to everyone that came to the annual Sharon Frazier Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Optimist Club of Apple Valley with the support of the Town of Apple Valley. It was so nice to see the fine young men and ladies dressed up for the event and participating in the community event. We saw several Scouts in uniform representing another Optimist Club program. The Frazier family were here and Lyla got some eggs as well! The Optimist Club has been active in supporting youth in Apple Valley since 1968 and we are very pleased with the turnout today. Thank you to everyone that made our event a huge success despite the weather. This is the first time I can remember needing a Lifeguard at the Easter Egg Hunt! 😂

Location of the egg hunt has only changed from the fields to the gymnasiums at James Woody.

Easter Bunny will also be there so we hope to see you on Saturday!!

CORRECTION : SATURDAY APRIL 8 NOT APRIL 7

Hard to imagine Easter is this Sunday with this weather we’re having but the Easter Bunny is coming early to the James Woody Center on April 8. The Optimist club of Apple Valley is proud to work in conjunction with the Town of Apple Valley for the extravaganza at the park. Event starts at 9:30 to 12 and further details will be posted on this page prior to Saturday. Age groups will be split up and there will be a separate lane for each group with separate start times. Optimist group will have an Easter bunny on site for picture opportunities. Come early bring baskets and/or bags for the egg gathering. Have no fear though if in the heat of the moment, a basket or a bag is forgotten the Optimist group will have bags on hand Let your children know that in each age lane that there will be a specially marked egg and if they get that egg come to the Optimist booth to claim their Easter Basket. Only the holder of the special egg will be able to obtain the basket. We will be posting more information before the end of the week after conferring with the Townof Apple Valley to ensure there has been no changes.
