Class of 1991 AVHS 30 Year Reunion

Reunion attendees! Four days away! Here are instructions on attending the event ->

Bearpath is a gated community so when you pull into the entrance you'll want to stay to the LEFT and tell the guard you're here for the Apple Valley Reunion. The guard will then open the gate and you can drive in. Once in, take an immediate RIGHT and drive slow. You'll reach a stop sign, after the stop sign you'll see the 1st hole on your left and a large stone Bearpath sign surrounded by flowers. Take a LEFT at the Bearpath sign and drive past the pool into the parking lot. Park anywhere and then look for a small sign next to a sidewalk that will say "EVENT" with an arrow pointing to the right. Follow that sidewalk to some stairs going down and then you'll see the entrance to the ballroom. Once you enter the ballroom, we will check you in and give you your name tag. The class of 1990 has invited anyone in our class to join them for a tour of Apple Valley High School at 10:30am on August 28th and then stay for a boxed lunch picnic, outside at AVHS. Price per person for the box lunch is $20.00. Please let me know if you're interested and I'll put your name(s) on the participant list. 🦅

Great news! I was able to re-negotiate with Bearpath CC this morning and they will allow us to hold the event at a discounted price. So, I only need to sell 15 more tickets to break-even. We sold 8 tickets over the weekend, thank you for those that purchased them. Please reach out to other classmates that may not be on Facebook and see if they'd be interested in getting together Friday August 27th. Thank you!

AVHS Class Of 1991! Our 30 year reunion has been booked and is set. Friday August 27th at Bearpath Golf & Country Club starting at 6pm. Please purchase your tickets now. Ticket cost is $50 per person which includes live music, heavy horderves, outdoor and indoor venues and two bars both inside and outisde. There will be plenty of outdoor space to sit and stand if you feel uncomfortable due to Covid. Ticket prices will go up to $75 per person starting August 1st. There is plenty of parking and I will have a few Uber drivers ready to provide rides after the event if needed. The event will end at 11pm. On January 15th earlier this year, I surveyed our class on whether or not people would like to hold our 30 year high school reunion this Summer given concerns over Covid-19. Approximately 200 people responded to the post or reached out to me directly with feedback. Just under 50% of respondents said they would NOT attend due to fears from and travel restrictions relating to Covid-19. If you were one of the people in January who said they would NOT attend, I want to hear from you please. How do you feel about it now? Would you now attend a reunion given vaccine roll-outs and mask requirements being lifted? If so, please let me know. The last thing I want to do is organize a reunion and only 50% of our class feels comfortable attending. Also, pretty late in the game to start trying to plan an event now, but I can probably pull something off this year if I can determine attendance in the next 4 weeks or so. How does everyone feel about getting together in August given the current status of Covid? Just trying to get a sense of what people are thinking. I'm going to need to put money down on reserving a location and before doing so I just want to get a sense if people are going to come to the reunion and feel comfortable. I was thniking we could have it at an outdoor venue as a precaution. Another alternative would be to delay it to August 2022 when we should all be past this situation.
