🌎 Greetings everyone! Later this week … aka … Thursday, watch for some live feeds and posts surrounding GIVE TO THE MAX. In full disclosure, I (Jacob Rylander) was recently elected as the President/Chair of the SES Education Foundation, better known as SESEF.

SESEF will be participating in this years event and to put it directly, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Each year SESEF provides tens of thousands of dollars to ensure equitable opportunities for students to participate in intensive themes and field studies. We oversee over $10k in scholarships and help with specialized funding for facility and faculty improvements.

Covid has effected us all and over the last several years SESEF’s means of fundraising has been extremely limited, all while the demand ever increasing for our assistance.

I humbly ask that you please strongly consider giving any amount of financial assistance to help us continue this necessary service to current SES students and future fellow alumni. SES has been one of the most influential aspects of my life and I know many of you can easily say the same.

Thank you and stay tuned for more as we try to GIVE TO THE MAX this week!

v/r: Jacob Rylander

🌎SAVE THE DATE 🌎

School of Environmental Studies Education Foundation (SESEF) was established in 1999 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community foundation to support the students and staff of SES by providing funds through grants and scholarships. On November 17, 2022, SESEF will be participating in Minnesota’s campaign!

We need your help to continue our amazing work in ensuring equitable opportunities and experiences. This academic year, we’re looking to fund the following:

● Student Scholarships given to five seniors to help pay for their post-secondary education. ($5,000)

● Students Grants to help students participate in field trips, intensive themes, and senior project funding. ($15,000)

● School Activities Grants to support the Junior and Senior Classes and other school activities such as the Earth Day Celebration, MLK speakers, Junior Picnic, and Senior Party. ($3,500)

● Faculty Professional Development and course and curriculum development to create innovative instruction and further academic achievement. ($5,000).

Give anytime, with our official campaign kicking off on November 1, and with our big push on the 17.

2022 SES Senior Blast Graduation Party, organized by Rachel Worner 05/04/2022

The School of Environmental Studies Class of 2022 will be graduating this June and the Senior Party Planning Committee could use your help if you’re in a position to give!

Due to the uniqueness of this last academic year and throughout the pandemic, the SES Education Foundation is offering to match up to $3,500 between now and the end of May to support these awesome students. We want to ensure their final days of high school are filled with memories beyond distance and hybrid learning.

Each year SESEF injects tens of thousands of dollars into student and teacher grants to support activities and intensive themes, purchase new books, equipment, finance scholarships…and so much more! We’re excited to be able to support this years graduates in way that will hopefully encourage others to help as well.

Please like and share, we understand that times are challenging. If you’re not in a position to give, please consider passing this on to those in your circle of influence. THANK YOU!!!

Greetings SES Alumni & Friends! 🌎

Remember that time at SES when ....?

We each have a few favorite memories from time spent at SES. Maybe it was on a field study to the Galapagos? Or maybe you actually enjoyed Journal checks? It could be a friend you made, a teacher who inspired you, or an awareness of the world around you. It is these experiences that help to build the strong community that shapes SES.

The unique curriculum at SES allows our students opportunities that can be found nowhere else. However, SES is nowhere near adequately supported by the school district, and depends on donations to fund their unique programs. If SES has made a difference in your life, we hope you’ll consider making a donation to SESEF so in future years, the School is able to continue to develop active citizen leaders who are environmentally informed, self-perpetuating learners, and who are connected to the local and global community.

It has never been more important to invest in supporting our SES community leaders. $1, $5, $10 - every penny helps! Please make a gift in any amount you can through our GIVE to the MAX page:
