A great day practicing Reiki🌟 Each client pulled a card for today. I waited until the end of my day to pull my own.
I’ve pulled from these cards more times then I can count and I don’t think I’ve ever pulled this one before. Boy, does it resonate! Who hasn’t been exposed, felt or been in the darkness?? Improving, growing and becoming stronger? Total trade off✨

I’m so incredibly grateful for the new space to hold my Reiki practice and The Rock Shop, some very special-to-me clients, being able to bring nature indoors so I can still be connected to Mother Nature, the amazing people within the office, some of my biggest supporters and helpers (my parents, husband and kids), my teachers (I have SO many!), those who have sent me messages and luck on this journey… The best never ending list❤️
And yes, this is me, totally giddy and geeking out after a few wonderful Reiki sessions😍

-> I few things that light me up, spending quality time with my family or “my people”, being goofy and not taking life too seriously, being in, on or near water and under the sun, spending time in nature, camping, boating, connecting with my husband and/or kiddos, learning and studying one of the many interests I have and going on adventures.
-> I have tried on numerous occupations, including a receptionist at 3 different salons, cosmetologist, PSR at a dental office, billing and claims at a chiropractic office, barber, nail technician, stay at home and homeschool mom, to just name a few.

What a special few days✨ I had the pleasure of learning, practicing and getting certified as a Karuna Reiki Master. If that wasn’t enough, I got to do it along side of some very special friends🤩
Not only will this enhance my Reiki practice, but it will help deepen and refine the Reiki energy. This has quenched my thirst for learning at the moment, but I know it won’t last long🫣 I’m excited, committed and look forward to learning, enhancing and refining my healing practice to help others along their own healing journey💫

One of my favorite posts by .holistic.psychologist. Dr. Nicole’s book, How To Do The Work, kick started my healing journey. Her perspective, wisdom and words, changed my world.
While living authentically is an achievable goal for healing and growth, it may feel awkward and scary at first. BUT conforming to everyone else’s values and expectations, can be miserable and frustrating. Wait long enough and one can become resentful, stressed, anxious and completely lose themselves in pleasing everyone else.
Being uncomfortable and having tough feelings is not something to run away from. (I STILL work on this and need to hear these words!) Being honest, genuine and living from the heart is the trade off and it DOES get easier with time.
At the end of the day, I may ruffle some feathers to uphold boundaries in order to protect myself or my families energy. Or I may say things that are not met with mutual feelings. But I have to be ok with that and move on. Trying to please and never disappoint anyone ever because I’m afraid of being judged or disappointing someone else is exhausting and can become frustrating.
Living a life for everyone else is truly not living. Live your life for YOU and YOUR happiness✨ Not the other way around.

Maintaining the health of the chakra system with self-care of the mind & body can be done with the following modalities;
Chakra Music
Binaural beats and Solfeggio frequencies that correlate with the chakra system speak to the brain and nervous system in order to open the chakras. Simply sit back, press play, and allow the music to lead you.
�Chakra Affirmations
Positive statements strengthen neural pathways in the brain as well as the vortexes of our consciousness. Chakra Affirmations imprint high vibrational emotions into our mind and body over time. With repetition, these statements become ingrained and we naturally reach for these thoughts.
Chakra Crystals
Crystals contain minerals and the energy of the Mother Earth. While some crystals can help us ground, others help us transcend. You can work with these crystals in meditation, wear them, keep them close to you, or simply go to sleep with one under your pillow or bed.
Yoga for Chakra Balance
Yoga poses such as heart-openers, or backbends, create space in the physical body. The practice builds strength, and detoxes the endocrine glands, all of which allow for prana to rebalance.
Essential Oils on Chakra Points
Essential Oils, concentrations of plants, carry a high-frequency that can be inhaled to direct the nervous system. Because they guide a part of the brain that stores emotions (limbic system), they are powerful in activating the chakras.
Pranayama (Breathe work) for Chakra Opening
The yogic tradition introduces breathing exercises for physical endurance, and calm. Kapalabhati, Ujjayi, and Nadi Shodana are some of the most popular pranayama exercises that you may use to cleanse your chakras.
Chakra Meditation for Beginners
You can visualize your 7 main chakras through a guided meditation journey. Visualize them expanding and becoming brighter. By breathing into each chakra, you will clear the emotions, memories, and chords that may be attached to them.

Mars is the God of War, the planet that rules passion, action, and ambition. It lights a fire within you helping you to achieve anything you desire, and it burns in the throes of passion.
Normally, Mars is here to simply help you move ahead in life. To take charge and in most cases to take no prisoners.
This energy is responsible for the courage and drive that forces you to move ahead even if you do not know how or even if your knees are shaking because that is what it is meant to do.
During Mars retrograde though, everything changes. Mars retrograde is known to make people feel lethargic, passive and tense.
BUT, Mars retrograde ends today✨🎉 What has been blocked could start to move forwards again. Maybe not right away today (there is a shadow period before and after retrogrades) but soon!
Chakras that are out of balance or blocked can manifest into physical, mental and/or emotional distress that can severely affect our health, relationships, emotions, and can even make the most basic of needs, like survival, difficult.
Being able to unblock or move stagnant energy from the chakra system will benefit, not only the physical, but also the subtle bodies (think mental, emotional, etheric, astral...).
Reiki is an excellent, convenient and relaxing modality that has incredible benefits, including the removal of blocks while balancing the chakra system. Living more fluidly, means living with our best and highest selves.
Each chakra can be either be balanced, underactive, or overactive. It can be flowing at a healthy speed, stagnant, or blocked depending on our experiences, perspectives, and physical health. The chakra system is healthy when all 7 chakras are open, balanced in size and flowing smoothly.
Reiki energy can help balance the chakra system, remove blocks and old programs. Once balanced energy can flow fluidly throughout the energy systems and the healing journey can begin or progress.
The chakra system was discovered in India more than 4000 years ago. We have many, but 7 major chakras that from run from the base of the spine to the top of our head. Chakra is defined as a “wheel” in Sanskrit, as they rotate in a circular motion.
Reiki energy can help open, unblock, restore, and align the chakras. Working with chakras is an integral part of a reiki session as the chakra system is healthy when all 7 chakras are open and balanced in size.
In the midst of the holiday season, one can feel the weight of it, which can be felt as stress, and in turn can manifest itself in many different ways.
Reiki is a gentle and effective practice that can bring about deep relaxation, improve sleep, can energize when feeling drained, dissolves energy blocks of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual plane, help change negative conditioning and behavior, improves concentration...just to list a few.

I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Kari, I’m a Master Level Reiki Practitioner, Mom of 4 kids and one pup. I was born and raised in the Fox Valley. My husband and I decided to raise our children here, so this is where I currently reside and practice Reiki.
I have known about Reiki for years, YEARS! But I didn’t know enough about it to peak my interest into trying it. Until I did. And it was AMAZING and life changing💫
Little did I know that starting Reiki would catapult me onto my souls path, loaded with bumps, puddles, rainbows, unicorns, roller coaster hills…you get the picture!
I healed, and continue to heal with Reiki. I have grown exponentially. I have opened myself to the wonders of the Universe, my Inner Child, my Shadow self, to things I never even gave a thought to in my past, my life changed SO much, but in the best most possible way.
Reiki has helped me manage and almost diminish the anger and bitterness that lived inside me for years. Took the fire of grief and shame I felt and turned it into a spark. Opened my mind and heart to different perspectives, grounded me, lifted me up, help manage stress and anxiety, challenged me, eased me out of my comfort bubble, gave me the confidence that, I too, am love and connected to everything, just like everyone else.
I found so much love and healing with Reiki, I decided I wanted to help others with Reiki and here I am. Ready to let Reiki flow through me, to you, with an open heart❤️☀️

Amazing and inspiring quote from Dr. Wayne Dyer. The last line hits hard, but in a wonderful way.
I started Wayne Dyers book, Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life, Living Wisdom of the Tao. Breaking up the verses of the Tao Te Ching, and listening to 1-2 daily. Every Tao Te Ching verse is interpreted, along with advice and guidance by the author. It’s been fascinating that these ancient verses can be applied in todays world. Listening to him on audio, makes it that much more profound, I love when authors read their own books. I could read these verses daily to keep grounded❤️

Intentions are an integral part of Reiki and everyday life. Starting the day, a reiki session, yoga, meditation…with a positive and limitless intention is great practice.
Create the powerful and endless flow of energy with intentions. Being clear on what it is you want to create or call in, but also ask what it is you are ready to surrender.

A great time to get your crystals and stones out for clearing and charging , make moon water or tea, all overnight under the full moon. Rest, smudge, yoga, relaxing salt bath, work with crystals, reiki, meditate, journal, be so incredibly grateful…

What is expected during a Reiki session?
Reiki is a deep healing process that helps create balance and alignment between the body, mind and spirit. Clients lay fully clothed and are supported on a massage table during the session. Reiki is practiced through the hands, lightly or above the body, in Reiki hand positions working through a series of chakras. Reiki energy has its own intelligence and intuitively knows where it is needed. Most clients feel a sense of relaxation and peace. Other sensations that may be felt are heat or cold, tingling, chills, lightness, heaviness and/or release in certain areas of the body. Or, nothing may be felt at all. Many benefits of Reiki can be felt immediately, within hours, days or weeks following a session.

Being present is not a new concept, but one that is a beneficial reminder.

Reiki is two Japanese words that mean, Universal Life Energy.
A Reiki practitioner is the vehicle for the universal life energy to flow through to the client. The energy flows through the practitioners hands to the client. The energy itself knows intuitively where to flow. An example would be feeling the energy at the feet, when the practitioner is at another area of the body.
Reiki can be very beneficial to those seeking ways to relax, reduce stress, promote the process of healing, find balance & stillness in a gentle, safe and peaceful way.
