Today is Letter Writing Day! We have stationary, cards, envelopes, postcards, and stamps! Write a letter to someone at home, at another school, a new friend on campus (no stamp needed), or anyone!
Beyond Welcome Week, we have a permanent letter writing station on the first floor of the library on the southeast corner (the side near the fountain).
Also! We've decided to keep up the Ormsby photo booth through the weekend!

During Fall Term 2024, the Lawrence University Archives will be hosting walk-in hours. Each day we will pull items from the collection to view. Stop by Level B of the Seeley G. Mudd Library to take a look and/or to chat about the Archives/ Lawrence history.

It's Craft Day in the library today! We have origami bookmarks, mini felt succulents, bracelets, and advanced origami set out and ready to spark creativity! Stop by anytime today- and don't forget to enter our daily prize drawing. The library is open until 8 pm.
Today is game day in the Mudd Library! Stop by and play Mario Kart on the Nintendo Wii, a board game, continue on a puzzle- and be sure to enter our daily drawing!

Student's research traces journey of forgotten meteorite | Lawrence University Hal M. DeLong '24 used his Chandler Senior Experience to research the human, geological, and cosmic story of a fragment of an iron meteorite from Namibia that found its way to Lawrence.
A group of reference librarians got together for a workshop last week to talk about how we can approach AI when doing instruction sessions. We’re excited to share our knowledge with students and faculty when the school year starts!

We have several of Lui’s books, graphic novels, and comics in the library collection! This feature does a great job of sharing her path from Lawrence student to award-winning author.
Lawrence alumna finds her joy in comic books, graphic novels | Lawrence University Marjorie Liu '00 has crafted an impressive career as a best-selling author, writing comic book titles for Marvel, creating the popular Monstress series of graphic novels, and launching The Night Eaters horror series.
The Mudd will now be open from 8 am until 8 pm, Monday-Friday through the end of Welcome Week!*

Donation of rare book collection provides invaluable resources | Lawrence University A rare book collection that first came to Lawrence University on loan in 2016 has now been donated to the university. The prized collection provides invaluable academic resources for students and faculty.
Today was Katie's last day as administrative assistant in the Mudd Library. We're sad to see her go, but wish her all the best in her new library job!
