STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Fox students get about an hour each week to learn and explore through different mediums. This year, the classroom has a lot of new materials to use, games to play, and even new furniture! Thank you Appleton Area School District for making our STEM room a creative dream land ❤ Our students are loving it!

Day 2: House Pride tags were made for student's lockers/cubbies. They feature their house mascot and colors. Team building games were also played.
Day 3: Tie dye, the messiest day! Each house dyed an item in their house color. Mrs. Chrisman came out to tie dye a shirt with each house color on it to represent all of us.
🥳Shout out to all of the staff and parents that came throughout Camp Fox to help! We appreciate your willingness to support us in kicking off the school year in a fun and positive way. Thank you!

Let's welcome our new School Counselor, Mrs. Ferguson! 🥳 Here's a message she had for the FRA community to introduce herself:
Hello Friends! My name is Sonja Ferguson and I am excited to join the Fox River Academy family as the inaugural school counselor! My husband Rob, son Jack, and I relocated to Wisconsin from Austin, Texas in 2022 and have felt so loved and accepted by Appleton and FRA since settling in. Upon our arrival, I immediately began bugging Jack’s teachers about FRA needing a school counselor and I am overjoyed and humbled that when the time came, they chose me to take on this important position. I can’t wait to start the 2024-2025 school year and to meet even more FRA families and students!
We're so glad to have her here for our school ❤ Make sure you say hello at back to school night on Wednesday, August 28th!

Tuesday Trivia Answer: Around 60 million 🤯
On average, one supermarket uses about 60 million paper bags each year. According to Waste Management Northwest, about 10,000,000,000 paper bags are used each year in the US alone. They may seem like a better option, but paper bag production creates more waste than plastic bag production.
What’s your favorite alternative to both paper and plastic bags? Share a picture or link to spread the environmentally friendly options ❤️🌎🌳
