Lake Church Student Ministry
At Lake Church, we are glorifying God and pursuing people. We do that with teenagers every way we know how. Come join us!
The Lake Arlington Student Ministry exists to serve students. We seek to accomplish this by providing opportunities for students to experience community with other students, provide them with things to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and then take the things they have learned and use those to impact the world around them.
Team Seattle JUST landed at DFW! They’re a hair tired but well and pumped to share all Jesus did. Thanks for praying. Keep praying for the Walls family. We love them and all they’re doing up there.
Wednesday Night is Alley Cats! 6-9pm. $25. Let’s hang out. We’ve got a week left of summer. We’re not gonna waste any of it!
We had the privilege of helping lead the music this morning at the Hallows Church. Amelia, Kylie, and Eli were on stage, and the rest of us were a front row choir. They’re a sweet congregation that was a joy to worship with. Now we are back to Summerfest! Keep praying for us please.
Day 2 of Seattle is always “Walls Day!” We spend the day trying our best to bless this precious family. We build, cleaned, worked in the yard, SANG and DANCED, bubbled, cooked a giant meal, and laughed a lot. It’s a true privilege to serve these folks who serve the Kingdom so well.
We are at Summerfest now. The clowns and pirates are on parade and we are on trash patrol. It’s gonna be a great day!
Team Seattle is off! It’s our 4th and final mission trip of the summer. Pray for us! Also, be proud of Katie…after years of packing discipleship from Kait, she has mastered the backpack only luggage option.
Christmas in July & ChrisLympics tonight! 6:30-8:30. Watch this to get info about it and lots more!

We got to hang out with volleyball camp at the LC this morning. Presley (and the Dunn family) were running it. Hannah, Bella, and McKinley were all there and learning some great stuff. Season starts soon and we can’t wait to see them play.
We get to worship tomorrow!
Youth Lunch yesterday in the Loft had an Olympic flair to it. We debated some fun “Would You Rather” questions, and then we played some Last Man Standing. On the line were a couple of the Heim Bobbleheads. Mac and Rebecca were our winners. She was pumped because she’s a catcher. Mac was pumped because he won and promised to learn more about Heim. 😉
79 of us went to see the Champs play last night and they didn’t disappoint! The Rangers hung 10 on the Sox and we (the fans) collectively ate 20K+ hot dogs! (Elario is our champion again.)
It was Brett’s birthday and he literally got everything he wanted for it. Because it was dollar dog night, we’ve started using them as a standard of measurement. “That shirt cost 29 hot dogs. I make 12 hot dogs an hour. Etc.
Great night!
LOTS of ministry to little guys happening again this week! We’ve got people leading strength and conditioning camp, art camp, basketball camp, AND Lionheart chapel. We of course did a little church clapping along the way too.
Bible Study XL tonight was PACKED! It was also a lot of fun. We sang and danced a little bit, then we talked about how serious Jesus wants us to take his Word. Including and especially how we treat other people. Great night! There’s some watermelon leftover too if you want some. 😁
EMOTIONAL but sweet Sunday. We said hello to a bunch of Sevies and goodbye to some of our most favorite people. Courtney has been a great staff member and friend. Our seniors have been some of the absolute best ever. They gave some beautiful Farewell Addresses that us laughing and crying all at once.
Got see the full blown version of Godspell today. We’ve never had to call Mac a Judas before, but he sure played a great one on stage. He’s repented and all is well. 😜
Tomorrow is Senior Farewells! It’s also the first day for the new Sevies. Don’t miss it.
Youth lunch at Cicis was tasty and hilarious. We know we didn’t get everyone in the pics but over 40 of us hung out and yes, there was a “who can eat the most” contest. Collin took the W home with 13 slices, 6 cinnamon rolls, 2 bread sticks, and a bowl of pasta for good measure. He’s hurting but winning requires a little pain sometimes. Jackson and Draco weren’t far behind though. You’ll catch him next time boys…😂
Bible first, then battle!
We had such a fun night at Bible XL with a side of Nerf Wars. Humility and servant hood are essential lessons.
Knowing how to win capture the flag, king of the hill, and zombie mode is also important. 😜
The boys won all the matches except the final and longest one. We’ll let you decide who takes the bragging rights for the night.
Cicis on Little tomorrow for lunch!
Let’s do this! Tonight 6-9 in the Loft. Bible Study, Nerf War…youth lunch power is on the line.
Dads are welcome and probably needed. 😂
The Sevies are here! We are PUMPED to welcome a whole bunch of new babies to our crew. It’s the biggest batch of new seventh graders we’ve had in YEARS! Enjoy the video, let them feel the love, and get excited about another awesome year coming! !
Day 4 is starting! We’re about to have a good day!
Also, it’s Kaits birthday! She’s…well old enough now we’ll let you ask her how old. Ha! !
Day 3 is winding down and we are headed to worship soon. Pray for us! The Gospel will be clearly shared and an invitation offered.
The Challenge Zone and Field Zone teams were full of energy and got high praise from the attendees of their games. Not sure how we couldn’t find Amelia out in the wild.
She’s either a great hider or TJ is a bad seeker. Ha!
Day 2 camp is coming to a close and it’s been a fun one!
The Pool Zone team is pretty popular and rightfully so. They serving well and leading a great time!
We wrapped the day up with glow party and lots of neon.
Keep praying for us!
Uncommon Kids Camp is off and running! Praise God it isn’t too hot, so we’re moving pretty good and these capes on the drama team are helpful too. Yall pray for the week and for Jesus to move. And keep it cool please. 😁
We are ready! Uncommon Kids Camp starts tomorrow and the packing is done. Yall pray!
We had a pretty fun lunch today at Canes. We found a new type of Doritos and gave them a shot. Let’s just say they’re interesting. 😂 !
It’s camp work day! If you’re bored, come help us. Also, go see Brighton at her lemonade stand! She’s raising funds for her Africa mission trip. $1 will get you some lemonade. $2 will get you a cookie too! 2102 Rocky Branch Ct.
Tonight’s Bible Study XL was good but HARD. We looked at several passages like John 9, Matthew 23, and Luke 11. Comparing what we see and what we read is good and important.
This scene is not from the Scripture, but it’s powerful and touched the hearts of MANY of our students.
Sometimes Jesus doesn’t say yes to our desperate, hopeful, even painful, requests; For ourselves or others. He ALWAYS loves though. We can trust that love and hang on to that hope that He’s working out His plan.
Check out Psalm 22 tonight. Let’s love and encourage each other too!
Yall, it was a sweet morning. Kylie taught her CG and did so well. And then TY GOT BAPTIZED! We loved seeing him continue to follow Jesus and tell sooooo many others about his faith. We’re proud of both of you!
On the eve of her birthday, we observed our annual reminder of why we don’t let Jr highers drive in this great country. 😂
Y’all Cidercade is AWESOME! We had a blast shooting stuff, driving, shooting more stuff, bowling, shooting even more stuff, tossing various kinds of sports balls, and shooting the last remaining things that needed to be shot. We are ready for some fireworks tomorrow now. Happy Independence Day everybody. Thank you Jesus for our home, video games, each other, and the freedom to hang out. !
Pickleball camp is rolling and that’s a lot of fun for sure.
BUT TEXAS CAMP (Merica but Texas was the theme today) was AWESOME! 😁
We are always proud of ours for volunteering to run camps during the summer.
Bible Study XL!
25 of us watched episode 2 of season 4 of the Chosen, and looked at the passages they presented. We got to see real photos from Caesarea Philippi from our crew that went to Israel last year. We spent some time talking about envy and forgiveness too. They’re church killers, and we don’t want any part of it. Jesus help us be gracious like you!
Dogs of Bosnia & Matamoros, and one fantastic Sunday!
Ty and Emma taught their classes their morning and did superbly.
This afternoon we did a bunch of Kids Camp training, which included some dance practice. We are pumped to unveil a brand camp bop that’ll be in our repertoire now.
And the dogs! (And horses, both tame and wild, and a plane cat too 😂)
Have you ever seen Godspell Jr? It’s great! Brooke was stellar in it too. We had so much fun cheering her on and singing along to some catchy tunes.
She’s got one more show at the CVPA tonight if you’re interested.
We get to worship tomorrow!

Uncommon Students
The LABC Student Ministry exists to Glorify God and Pursue People. We’re a bunch of teenagers who love Jesus, love each other, and want to share the joy we’ve been given with others....and eat a lot of Chick-Fil-A. We meet frequently, both for worship and just to hang out. If we aren’t in the Loft learning how to follow Christ more closely, we’re out and about serving, playing, or again, eating a lot of CFA. We have students from Arlington, Mansfield, Kennedale, Fort Worth, Grand Prairie, and more. Any student, seventh grade to twelfth grade is welcome. Come see why we believe that LABC is the “best body in the metroplex” by being an Uncommon Church.
