Feminism (n.) - the policy, practice or advocacy of political, economic, and social equality for women. (http://feminist.org)
, a grassroots organization that gathers signatures for support of the ERA’s certification is one advocacy group leading the modern ERA movement. Recently, Sign4ERA has implemented a new strategy: the “ERA Bus.” The bright green bus with phrases such as “ERA NOW” and “TAKE ACTION NOW” is hard to miss, going on tours to key districts to mobilize support for the ERA, gain more signatures, and above all, press lawmakers and politicians for their support. Led by Mary Ann Gorman and Carolyn Maloney, the ERA Bus has been spotted at universities, campaign events, rallies, and in front of critical politician’s offices. The ERA Bus recently visited Cornell University and some of our Campus Organizers had the opportunity to witness it in action!
