Blerdcon: Arlington VA, March 7th-9th, 2025! Focused on Blerd culture and contribution in nerd spaces!

BlerDCon (Black Nerd Convention) is the first of its kind to host a traditional convention structure of panels, celebrity guests, presentations, workshops, gaming tournaments, cosplay contests music and dance while highlighting and showcasing the rich diversity of the blerd community contributing in those genres!

“Blerd” is shorthand for “black nerd”

Blerdcon will be celebrating with DC Art All Night youth jam at the Benning/Dorothy L Height Library Friday Starting at 6pm! This will be site 1 of 2 activations featuring DJs, facepainters, food trucks, karaoke and cosplay! So come out and bring the family!

As part of our ongoing effort to keep pace with the rapid growth of the con and the needs of the community, Blerdcon has migrated our website to .org in step with our mission to establish our nonprofit.

Our mission has long aspired to establish partnerships with the nonprofit, higher and secondary education, to expand our footprint and better serve the community. Adding a nonprofit arm to our structure is how we best accomplish that, and chartering the .org is the first step!

So go to blerdcon.org and the site will have all the same features located in all the familiar places. Announcements for vendor and programming applications will be coming soon with new department email addresses for your follow up!
