Primrose Woodworks
Custom built furniture, cabinets and millwork.
Floating riftsawn white oak vanity. This is a veneered piece with the veneer running continuously from one end to the other then wrapping around the mitered end panel for a seamless modern look. Thanks for looking!
There is plenty of storage in this walk-in pantry! I enjoyed seeing this one come together.
Thanks for looking.
Another recently completed kitchen, this one a mix of walnut and white cabinets. It's a handsome combination!
White oak master suite including a furniture style vanity, matching mirror and bench seat. Thanks for looking!
An assortment of white oak vanities that have all been wrapped up recently. These were all part of the same project, seems like a theme!
We just wrapped up this kitchen in Westerly. I'm very pleased with this one.
Thanks for looking!
One of our kitchen clients found out we also build furniture and commissioned us to build them a set of eight stools. We built six with backs and two without, all in white oak and designed by us somewhat on the fly. I really enjoy these projects where we are given some artistic liberty.
We wrapped up our showroom project for the great people at Something Fishy. We built them a new 14 foot conference table, a two sided tank wrap that spans two rooms, and the reception area featuring a desk, wall credenza, tall coat cabinet and another tank wrap. Overall, it was a great project but, like all of them, I'm glad to cross it off the list! Thanks for looking.
We got this rather large conference table delivered and assembled today for our friends at Something Fishy. It's 14 feet long and 5 feet wide. It soon will have a glass insert between the two solid wood tops.
Walnut bookends with hidden steel bar stock for added weight and stability.
I got this table wrapped up yesterday, it's a dyed white oak base and has a quartersawn red oak top. This table is available for purchase, message me if you're interested. Thanks for looking!
We got this rustic unit installed yesterday on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. It's definitely a break from our normal style, not a bad thing and the client loves it.
This door was a fun challenge to build. The true divided diamond lights, the curved top rail and the bent lamination jamb all kept me on my toes.
We just got these eight foot tall cypress bi fold doors installed today. These doors, with their diamond shaped true divided lights, were a challenging build.
White oak library for a client in Westerly
It's not very often I work with live edge lumber, but it's a treat when I do. This honey locust table was a joy. The slabs are beautiful and certainly didn't need any help from me.
Master bedroom dresser and bench seat combination with white oak tops.
This scalloped apron vanity was a fun build. It's more furniture than cabinet and that's quite alright with me.
Recently completed kitchen in Westerly RI
Another recent build, this cherry desk has a light and airy feel while still providing a decent amount of open storage as well as a few drawers for hiding some things away!
Thanks for looking
Another piece from my most recent commission, I really like the combination of hidden and visible storage, the shiplap backs and, of course, the beautiful cherry lumber. Thanks for looking
Just wrapped up this cherry console unit and I'm pretty happy with it. Thanks for looking!
This rather large mudroom storage unit got installed this week. It is the counterpart to the hall tree posted yesterday, making for a very attractive and usable mudroom in a client's new home. Always nice to contribute!
Recently installed douglas fir hall tree, I was really pleased to see this one come together.
We wrapped up this simulated live edge table and got it delivered today. It's white ash with a deep stain to mimic walnut. The metal base is one the client provided.
Here is a recently installed fir built in. I'm especially fond of the simplicity on this one. Simple is timeless!
I wrapped up this curly maple TV stand today. This one is for me, I'll be looking at this more than the TV, this wood is mesmerizing.
Today, February 19th, marks my 13th year in business! It's a day that will always have significance for me. It is the day my idea and dream of being a woodworking business owner became a reality and official with the powers that be. I feel like I was always destined to become a small business owner even since my youth, though I never knew what that business would be. It was never because I thought I had all the right answers or that everyone else was doing it wrong but because it seemed like a challenge well worth taking on. I consider myself very blessed to have found something I love so much that can also provide a reasonable living for my family. It hasn't been easy but it's been worth it and I look forward to many more years of creating, designing, building and, most importantly, learning. Many thanks to all who follow along, to the many clients who have supported my business and my wife for the unwavering support and encouragement.
I just wrapped up building this tabletop workbench for my brother in law. He lives in a small apartment in downtown Seattle and has just gotten into woodworking. Because of his limited space a normal sized workbench is not an option but this tabletop version gives him lots of workholding options and should be a helpful addition to his growing arsenal of tools.
We've been doing a lot of these mitered waterfall countertops lately, this is today's installment in white ash with a satin clear finish. This is a nice upgrade from the old formica top it replaced.
