We're ready to address a recent criticism of our Lobster Roll. After reviewing this customer's complaint, we are owning up to our mistake and to our humanness.

The sandwich should have had more big hunks of knuckle and claw meat. But we are struggling with not being given the chance to make it right, because it was an overlook that we would have corrected had we been able.

Expressing dissatisfaction at a restaurant is a touchy subject. Some folks think it's rude or ungrateful. But it doesn't have to be, so long as you remain polite and respectful toward the establishment and the people working in it.

So please, if you ever have an issue with a dish you are served from us, we want to hear from you. Letting us know while you are in-house gives us the chance to fix it. Perhaps more importantly, it gives you the chance to enjoy a satisfying lunch 🙌

We always appreciate feedback and have taken this opportunity to refocus on this menu item, double checking that every single one that goes out of our kitchen looks like this ⬇️

Friends, we have a fantastic announcement! For the month of August, our friends Baba Nahm will be taking over our kitchen in the evenings on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays!! Some of you might know their incredible food already. For those who don't, Baba Nahm is well known for their tasty Mediterranean street food. Think: dolmas, falafel, lamb &beef bourekas ... 🤤 Starts this Wednesday. Grab a to-go for dinner!

Every Thursday from now until the cows come home || 12 jumbo shrimp fried to perfection, three humongous hush puppies, coleslaw & dippin' sauce for $14 || Grab a friend and make it happen.

🦪 Shout-out to our friend Tres, amazing chef and owner of who makes the incredible Shell Sauce that we carry in-house. It's not hot sauce, not cocktail sauce... It's just its own flavorful thing and is a must try for y'all oyster lovers out there. Reasons to trust Tres: he is one of the fastest oyster shuckers in the world, opened up Lobster Trap (Asheville's first seafood restaurant), and was the first chef to put a lobster roll on a menu in Asheville, ever 💅

Black Mountain customers: please note MOM will not be at the tailgate market this weekend or next. We're sticking close to home for the next couple of weeks to prepare for a big announcement that we have coming in September 👀

And vice versa, our lunch guests often don't know that we are stationed at multiple farmers markets throughout the week. Plus we have a pop-up location in Banner Elk every weekend.
