Amy Massey is the most recent studio artist to join the space, taking up residence in Studio #16! Visit her room just off the Flex Space to see her two current collections.
The Portals and Passages collection consists of delicate, ethereal vignettes painted in watercolor and gouache. These works illustrate the push and pull of emotion, using negative space to suspend fluid forms while seeking both tension and harmony.
Dimensions of Intimacy is a series of surreal, dreamlike landscapes interwoven with an intricate layering of geometric patterning, done in acrylics. The goal of this body of work is to explore the sensations we glean from different environments and to explore the symbolism of space.
It’s a (Harry) Hoppe place in Studio #2 😁
