Area 2 Ga FFA Banquet was one we soon will not forget!

Our Sr. Vet Science team was awarded for 2nd place in the area, Max Burnham for being high individual. Our Jr. Vet Science team was also awarded for 2nd place in the area competition.

A BIG congratulations to (Quinn Pendley) for taking a leap of faith in leadership! Quinn ran for area office by giving a speech, taking a written exam, and completing an application. Through all of this, this 10th grader excelled by getting selected as the 2024-2025 Area 2 FFA Treasurer!!

Congratulations to all of the students involved in these successes!

Today, we embarked on a token of a new era…

Also, receiving one of the Growing America’s Farmers Scholarship was Kathleen D***s.
• “8 Georgia FFA members who plan to further their education in production agriculture will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship.”

"My name is Max Burnham, and for the past two years, I have had the pleasure of serving as your FFA Historian and Secretary. I am a proud member of the class of 2026 and am looking forward to continuing my education at UGA's College of Agriculture. The past year was filled with thrilling activities, but the one that stands out most to me is traveling with my fellow officers to Helen Georgia to participate in our annual officer training featuring loads of laughs and smiles. In the coming year, I am anticipating the National Veterinary CDE, where FFA members around the country will compete by demonstrating problem-solving skills common in the veterinary field. As secretary, my roles and responsibilities consist of maintaining chapter correspondence, communicating with other secretaries, and preparing the program of activities for the year. Most would describe me as zealous, diligent, and ready to take the bulls by the horns."

The National Chapter Award Program is designed to recognize FFA chapters that actively implement the mission and strategies of the National FFA Organization. This year, 158 chapters across our state submitted an application for scoring.

We are excited to announce that our chapter has earned a Silver Emblem ranking! Only 45 chapters were awarded this honor!

"Hi I’m Quinn Pendley! I’m in the class of 2026 and am currently the Vice President of our chapter, i have been a member in FFA for 5 years and have also been treasurer, sentinel, and president throughout my middle and high school years. My favorite event from the last year was the beekeeping CDE, where our team placed first in the state. I am looking forward to state convention in April where FFA members from all across the state get to meet up. As vice president, I serve as backup for the president and assist her in making sure everything is running smoothly. Three words I would use to describe me are outgoing,talkative, and determined!"

"Hey guys, I'm Kathleen D***s! I am in the Class of 2024 and have been involved in the National FFA Organization for four years now. I am currently president of our chapter and have also served as committee chair and vice president through my four years in the organization. I have competed in many Career and Leadership Development Events such as farm businesses management, poultry judging, and employment skills. I am also a part of our livestock show team. I have been exhibiting pigs since 9th grade. I am looking forward to seeing how much our FFA chapter grows in the coming years. You’ve asked! You shall receive! This is our 2024 Spring Plant Sale Offering! Listed is our pricing for each plant for sale, limited quantities on these items!

Important Sale Information:
-There will be NO holds on plants.
-No pre-sale of plants before Thursday Morning!
-This is a school fundraiser and every penny funds student led projects!
-This is high school students’ work and they want to show off what they have done.
-Contact the front office on sale days if you have difficulty finding the greenhouse location. A map will be posted shortly on social media outlets for those of you that have asked!
-Let us help you design your garden for your summer!
