As the year comes to a close, I can’t help but feel grateful for all the experiences I’ve had. I organized the 5th annual Juneteenth event and was recognized by the city of Jonesboro with a proclamation and by the state with a resolution. I also switched jobs to be closer to my child during his final year of high school and pursued a profession I’m passionate about. I attended a leadership conference in San Francisco that was truly life-changing. Not to mention, I hosted the Fall Unity Festival in Jonesboro, even in the rain, and distributed financial literacy tools, food, books, and toys. All of these experiences have helped me reconnect with myself and reflect on my future goals. Most importantly, I’m grateful for the opportunity to be there for my son as he transitions into adulthood, and for the unwavering support of my family In January, I’ll be receiving the Andrew Jackson Humanitarian Award, and I’m excited to attend the CLI Leadership Networking event. With more time to focus on myself, I’m planning to further education and focus on my business. Looking forward to what the future holds!
