Street Cleanup this Saturday from 10-12 pm along Allene Avenue - WE NEED VOLUNTEERS, but we’re also excited to work with The Chad Livsey Project and who has done so much work to clean up Atlanta’s neighborhoods. Since 2017 they’ve bagged over 15,000 lbs of garbage off the streets and over 500 tires.

Got started at 8:30am and decided to take on the Bridge to Mechanicsville. Our neighborhood is next to Mville and i wanted to pay respect and show love. We want the senseless violence to stop and hope this small effort will help shine light on a community with great neighbors and awesome views of the City..

I'll be back tomorrow to finish up around the library and try to make it to the park!

Today's Solo Cleanup was in the Pittsburgh Community. I found out the office of Annie E. Casey Foundation was in a popular co-working space there so I cleaned up the street it's on.. Our Grant requirements is that our organization is coached and watched, now they can just look outside.

As I was working, a lady walking with a cane stopped me and asked, "Has anybody told you "I Love You" today??" I thought and said no not yet, then she told me, "I Love You and the work you're doing." In that moment, I felt a mother's love and I told her the same. It gave me an extra push to keep going.. see you tomorrow Pittsburgh, I'm not finished with Yall.

Back with .jr_ Charles and from ! This time we teamed up with a Tall force of Good, Reeves!! Kowacie plays for the team and he brought Zack the cameraman. I'm always impressed by the people I connect with through Midnight Riot, great leaders around Atlanta. We went back to Joseph E. Lowery Blvd and got futher down, almost to M.L.K.

After our cleanup, we went to Creative Reuse opening in ! The Girls were so happy with their new art supplies!

A 2 minute walk to Publix turned into a 20 minute cleanup.. I'm noticing the parking lot owned by Publix accumulating trash everyday because Marta is training bus drivers here with no trash cans anywhere on the lot. This Litter goes through the bushes and into the streets. Sometimes, a program with good intentions can become a problem needing a solution.

After a couple of canceled events, it was great to partner with a young group of environmental warriors. Charles Jackson, Kyarah Barton, and Michael Thomas from Midnight Riot joined forces to clean up the West End off Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. Charles reached out because people recommended he team up with me and I'm grateful that he did. Most times, I'm not sure of my impact and it feels good to know people recognize our efforts.. After our cleanup, I did a solo trash walk by GSU Stadium and recycling center. I'll be back tomorrow because it needs some Love over there.

Another 6am Trash Walk through the neighborhood! I cleaned up the parking lots/ bushes by the Publix, then walked down Fulton St to Hill. Of course, the Shell and Texaco were lightly littered again.. while I was at the Shell, Public Works of Atlanta came through and scooped 6 of my bags! I didn't get a chance to thank them but I will soon.
