Within the twenty years that we have been active, our mission has stayed the same: increasing latino civic engagement, legislative leadership, and supporting the latino community with educational resources. ❤️Introducing Petar Ivan Ivusic Araya, our GALEO Institute of Leadership Leader of the Month. Petar Ivan Ivusic Araya is an international student from Chile. Ivusic started his education in the U.S. with a full-ride soccer scholarship to Garden City Community College in Kansas, where he completed his associate degree. Then, Peter moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to continue his education at Georgia State University in 2019. He received his bachelor's degree in B.B.A. in Business Economics in 2021. Before coming to the United States for school, Petar was part of the youth program of a professional soccer club, where he spent many years traveling across Chile playing soccer and working with different teams.⚽️✨️

He is part of two organizations that support the Latinx community, Hispanic Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs (HYPE) and Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. He is also part of the board of Directors of a non-profit that supports international students in the Metro Atlanta area. Throughout his involvement in these organizations, he has been able to lead, organize, and volunteer in multiple events that uplift the Latinx community, especially Latinx students.
