Hello everyone! One of the things we wanted to put a focus on with our platform is highlighting the amazing people in our community and all the things they do. Our focus is on promoting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and female artists in Atlanta. We would like to start posting these highlights on our page ASAP, so if you would like some free promotion on our page, send us a short bio and either a picture or a short video showing off what you do. You can also submit to our website (link in bio). Make sure to tag your friends who you think should participate!
We’re looking for theatres, galleries, restaurants, and venues who proudly welcome LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC customers, artists, and collaborators. If you know one we should look into adding to our catalog or are an owner/manager of such a beautiful place, let us know! Just comment here, tag them, or go to our website (q***rshowpros.com) and submit our info form!
Welcome to our page! Here at Q***r Show Pros, we’re beginning the journey toward creating a network of q***r and female artists, promoters, vendors, and q***r-friendly venues for the Atlanta area (and one day… beyond). For now, though, we’re building this network from the ground up and we need your help!
Q***r Show Pros began in response to a common critique that organizers simply “can’t find” q***r performers to fill roles as well as the reality of many female and q***r performers feeling unsafe at supposedly “open” events. We wanted to create a tool that would ease the process of female and q***r artists connecting with safe, supportive spaces, so we’ve begun building a website that will act as a directory for artists and venues alike to connect and create fun, safe, and inclusive events and performances of all kinds. But as we write, we need artists and venues!
So here’s our CALL TO ACTION!
✨ If you’re a q***r or female artist or vendor looking to get your name out to interested organizers, fill out our information form (link at the bottom) to submit for our artist catalog.
✨ If you’re a venue owner or manager who supports the q***r community and women and want more of them represented at your open mics, auditions, events, classes, or events, fill out our information form (link at the bottom) to submit for our venue catalog.
✨ If you’re not any , send this post so the people we’re looking for can find us! (Come on, allies!)
We’re still working on solidifying our processes as far as verifying venue safety and establishing our newsletter, so bear with us as we get on our feet. If you do have any feedback at all, don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly!
